Help my keto

Hello, first and foremost, no enhancements have been added to my body with the exception of some bcaa.

Trying to tone out my abs for summer.

My specs:
150 lb
5'8"
I'm moderately-extremely active training bjj 4-6 x a week for classes lasting AT LEAST an hour.
Bf if I guessed 15%.

We will use my myfitnesspal data from today as my diet is usually very similar to this on a daily and I enjoy it cause I like meat and I like fat.

However I'm not tasting what people associate with ketosis and I'm afraid my protein intake is too high or my fat intake too low or both. Here we go:

Protein - 158g - 45%
Fat - 80g - 51%
Carb - 16g - 5%

Total cal 1463

I've had this consistently for 6 days now give or take. Thoughts? I did go thru a phase where I was tired from cutting out carbs.

Thanks look forward to getting into ketosis or maybe I'm already there and don't know.

Haha its summer time here which means shirtless days I bulk to 170 or more during the winter. My hobby of choice is very weight dependent. I prefer to be on the low side. This is my lowest weight and I'm just trying to trim dat off my lower abs. Keto speaks to me.

If it makes you feel better I can tap 240 lb meat heads who press 350+, at least 10 a minute. I can very easily FEEL 250 lb. Being big isn't good unless you know what you're doing. Prefer the lower weight, I'm faster and stronger in the "mat strength" kinda way. At 170 I'm disgusting slow, it takes more energy to perform techniques, i find it harder to create space and my training partners don't appreciate me stacking weight on them lol

Right now we are talking cutting body fat.

Thanks for reply

Its bulk time bud.

You ain't wrong.

What are you going for OP is there some reason you must stay light weight? Adding 10lb of muscle will make you look better then losing 10lb right now no doubt. You aren't in ketosis for a couple reasons. One your protien is vastly above your fats intake. Your daily calories are just far too low to hold good keto with your stats.

Another thing, abs don't count if it's just due to being scrawny IMO.

Alright so my protein intake is too high.

I listed benefits for lightweight in my sport in previous posts, you'd understand more if you were a student.

Lol scrawny guys. Let me choose my weight and composition. You lift weights I lift people. I do construction for work. My body is designed for choking and joint minipulation. I've done this my whole life, when summer comes around I always diet off fat. In previous years I would fast, but I'm trying to get smarter with it.

At the end of the day, I prefer my body type and my weight so let's get away from bulking and more into cutting. I don't need/want the weight, it's 170 cause of all the holidays, can't turn down a good crab dip. It's very easy to bulk and muscle up for me even with being a hard gainer.

Im at the forum because I've found intelligent responses here.

Thank you so much for your input on keto that's what I was looking for.

Any high fat, zero carb, moderate protein foods you would suggest? I'm eating a lot of bacon and steak and I accidentally purchased lean steak so I just add mayo. What do you think?

If I'm at 15% bf I have something to lose. I have friends who are 9-10% that weigh 120 lb. There's nothing wrong with being light, it has huge benefits in terms of rolling.

You literally made me lol previously. I have to be careful cause this is the Internet and there's a lot of ignorant people who only see one way. Especially in the body building world.

Haha nah dude i was just givin you a hard time, i dont give a fuck what anyone else does, doesnt affect me. But uhhh...protein and fat....how about a lean guacamole burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun? Lots of fat from the avocado and protein from the beef and no carbs.

Sweet I just bought some avocado. Do I need the burger to be "lean"? Was under the impression that I need fat.

Also is adding mayo to meals in order to increase my fat intake a poor decision. Cause that shit is easy.

Well 1 I ain't ignorant so hopefully that isn't directed at me, two I'm not a body builder either.

I'm going to be mean for a moment but it will end with help. Putting on muscle isn't easy otherwise you'd be 150 and 8% BF not 15%. You are not a hard gainer only uneducated on the matter. Lastly I pick up people as well and have to do a hell of a lot more then roll them so 10lb more muscle would make you better. Those are my points but you've come in with a mission to obtain smalliness (I'm making words up don't hate) so if you want to be keto I would suggest a few things needed. 1 an accurate measurement of your TDEE, 2 a moderate deficit no more then 600 calories due to your size if you want to retain the muscle you do have, 3 fats at 65% protien at 30% and carbs at 5%, finally number four don't make it a guessing game how do you know your in keto? One of two ways keto sticks you piss on which are semi accurate or a keto meter which you prick yourself like a diabetic and is 100% accurate

Don't forget to add in Nuts if you're not allergic. Alot of healthy fats and instead of the mayo i'd say go with some unsweetened almond butter or pecan butter. Lol the zero carb thing must suck bro. I get in around 200-340 carbs a day and feel great and it doesn't affect my body fat at all :D.

Nope not directed at you, directed at the Internet. I'm looking for help so I'm not shootin direct shots at anyone in particular.

It is very hard to gain weight for me unless I carb up. 10 lb more muscle separates me from rolling people I grew up with fairly.

"Rolling" is a term used in the same fashion as to "wrestle" someone. I don't literally roll people, well sometimes lol.

I don't know you so idk if your a bodybuilder, I was just generalizing some of the community. Your fine by me?

15% is a high guess, rather go high than low.

I mean muscle is muscle, doc I ain't no scientist but I understand the process of gaining it.

My maintenance is 2100.

100% accurate eh? Don't suppose I get this at Wal mart lol

Listen I want you to understand. I respect you and every being for that matter until they give me a reason not to. This is my first time communicating with you so... nothing to disrespect? I love this community.

I just try to breakdown why a bulk isn't in the scope at this point in time and why being smaller is an advantage for me.

Great stuff! My knowledge of diet and proper nutrient ion is non existent, so I'll feed off the greater minds for that. I tried to understand thru research and now thru collaboration I understanduh more
