hcg shutdown?

i got this from a pct forum on another board :-

"it seems that every time i do a hcg shot my boys seem to completely shut down(shrink) for a day or two and i cannot get an erection. is this normal and does it happen to anyone else. after about two days its functioning properly again and testicle size increases, kinda weird."

he was injecting hcg at 500iu every 5th day.

anyone any opinions?

Sounds like an androgen insensitivity or resistance. Would be good to know what else the person is on or what preceded the hcg use. If he's a geezer like myself (60), a smaller dose may be the answer. I found hcg added immensely to the effects of the testosterone. The hcg turned my hrt from good to great.
