i have intense pain in the spot you inject in the ass, the pain rediates down the back of my leg down to my calf. i never had any pain while injecting, i haven't injected in 5 weeks. i went to the chiropracter and he thinks i just have presure on my nerve, but his adjustments aren't helping at all. is this a torn muscle in my ass or did i maybe nick my cyatic nerve?? i can barely get out of bed in the morning! any info on this guys.

i

How close to the spine did you inject? It would have to be very close to hit the nerve. Remember to inject on the outer glute you shouldnt be near that nerve. About the pain i only get major swelling no pain down my leg.

you may have jabbed the sciatic nerve, but you would have felt that immediately when the needle went in.
You may have inflammation reaction from the BA thats compressing your sciatic nerve. Whatever the case, you definitely have compression to the nerve, be it from the needle, inflammation, or disc bulge.
This is what you need to do:

get your chiropractor to do an ortho-neuro exam, as well as a sensory exam for your lower extremities. Tell him in those words. If he looks like he dosnt know what you're talking about, find another chiropractor. Basically, he should perform a bunch of orthopedic tests on you, and he/she should also test your sensitivity to sharp and light touch along all your dermatomes, using a little pinwheel or toothpick, and some cotton wool. Pretty standard sensory exam. BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE RIGHT!

If you do not have sensory deficits, its a good thing. You'll have to locate the source of the irritation. maybe its your wallet that you sit on, maybe it's your reaction to BA in the last injection....many many possibilities. Regular adjustments from your chiropractor will get you back on your feet much faster than without.

If you DO have a sensory deficit, your best bet unfortunately, is to get an MRI done. It's expensive, but it will save you a lot of $$$ doing it and finding out the cause of your problem, rather than spending more money trying to treat an unknown cause.....get what im saying?

ask me if you have any questions.

thanks guys. i injected in the right spot. i have injected there numerous times with no problem. i have a little knot where the pain starts. that it the main root of the problem i can actually put my finger on the spot the pain starts at. some days i can get around pretty goos others not. the chiro did a pretty extensive search, but i will bring that info to him at get his reaction. skywalk it is ok to still trian through the pain if it is bareable?

without knowing the exact cause of your problem, not having done any examinations on you, nor looking at your x-rays, it's impossible for me to say anything but no, dont train. As much as you hate to sit on your ass and do nothing, you do have radicular (radiating) pain which more than likely indicates nerve involvement. I dont think I need to tell you what a bad idea workout through this kind of problem is.

Just take it easy bro. Relax and wait for you body to recuperate. I mean taking a month off is better than messing your body up and taking a year.

You would deffinately know if you hit your sciatic nerve. Don't worry bro it is probably just the oil putting pressure on the nerve. Later, bigwil

yah that is the weird thing, i can put my finger on the spot the pain starts? it's a little knot. def. not an absess

All kidding aside....have you ruled out cellulitus?? You did not say if there was fever involved......If so you need to do research on this. You may need a professional (doc's) opinion....I suggest you do your research and seek a professional opinion....your health is your life.....Peace...Vegas
