hair transplants and AAS usage

Which doctor did you pick and see you saying you can't even do TRT before and after HT to protect the hair? Doesn't fin/dut provide sufficient protection against at least testosterone?
Dr. Patty in Bangkok.

I think my message was not properly formulated. I was advised not to do steroids, but in this case by my coworker who is a dermatologist and not by my surgeon. And this was about blast theory. TRT is probably fine.

Rational was that it can cause temporal shedding, and u want to go into the hair surgery with a stablelized hairline. My surgeon did also tell me, that ideally I'm on finasterid for at least a year before getting the surgery, so that my hairline stablizes.

Besides that I would not get an 8 hour surgery and 2 weeks of fucked up sleep, while my body also is stressed from a supraphysiological steroid overload.

My scalp is still numb a bit and there is still the slightest redness from scarring, so hopefully after 6 months everything will be back to normal and I’ll have a sick flow for summer
The numbness and sometimes itchiness/pain was really annoying, it did last for me probably 3-4 months on some areas.

I recently reached out to Dr. Patty for a transplant and she rejected me! She said i have to be on oral min/fin for a year before she'll even consider me.

I was wondering as well if your choice of AAS has changed after an HT to protect your hair and investment in HT. I read that you have to be on oral fin/dur and min INDEFINITELY and the only AAS they will protect your hair from is testosterone. So is that the only viable AAS after an HT?
Dr. Patty is one of the best surgeons. Every surgeon who accepts you without being on fin for a year signals a red flag.

I guess test with fin/dut is the only viable steroid after a HT. Your transplanted hair is immune against androgens, but not the hair behind it. If you need a transplant your clearly prone to androgen induced hair loss, thus androgens will definetly accelerate it.

That is correct yes.

I don’t blast gear anyway, I’m running 400mg primo, that’s as high as I’ll go.

I think if we consider all the professional body builders who have had HT’s and their hair survived
We can say that it is possible
Though given the investment it is not wise to do so.

I don’t plan to be on gear much longer, I’ll be 40 this year and likely having kids within the year
So I’m kinda on my last ride…. Though that’s what they all say I’m sure haha
