Guns

This will either be because you are a fucking retard or because you are in the midst of a stroke.

Either one explains your posts here.
Edgy and I’m not impressed in the slightest. Sucking off the inexperienced know it all isn’t a good look.

Definitely feels like it's overgassed. The amount of brass on my bolt face and shell deflector kind of give it away. I have a Yankee Hill suppressor coming in the mail soon.... well by soon I mean probably 180 days LOL. You all know how that game is played. But when that comes in I'm definitely going to have to get an adjustable gas block installed.

Took 14 months for my stamp
Are you comfortable with throwing a adjustable gas block on it ? Or just take it to a gunsmith ? Factory usually over gasses for reliability illusions  what clock position Is it kicking brass out at ?

I've put on an adjustable block before. It's kicking brass out a little past 3... say 3:30ish. I might just throw a H2 buffer on it for now and wait until the suppressor comes in to see what I need to really do to tame the gas.

That’s where you want it, 3-4 o’clock. I use a JP silent capture buffer in all 3 ARs I have(ones an AR9) comes with weighted adjustments. Probably overkill for adjustable gas systems but damn are they quite, no spring sound.
That’s an awful lot of brass shavings, ammo related ? Cycling ok ?

Ammo is federal 150 grain so probably not ammo related. I noticed within the first 20 rounds there was too much brass on the bolt face. Chalked it up to perhaps it's brand new needs to break in but it's definitely rough on my brass don't know how many reloads I'm going to get out of it.
I've heard of the silent capture buffer especially for subsonic suppressed 300 Blackout but I've never owned one myself. Definitely interested in trying one out one day. This hobby... It's getting expensive.

If you’re willing to drop the cash on the JP you won’t be disappointed, It’s a very expensive lifestyle that’s for sure. Federal white box is what I used to train with. I spend most of my “gun” money on ammo these days. I drop $150 nearly every month on steelcase(mostly wolf) cheap 9mm/5.56, if your weapon can run that you have a good solid gun. I’m not an ammo snob like I am toward shotguns :D

When it comes down to it its preference because the gun u train with an the gun u are comfortable with will work it only takes 1 good shot an some peoples military mindset is very clear well remember that family ur protecting will never see u again if u don't do things properly I'm not saying its fair but its the system we live in home defence is not the battlefield that being said @Rockclimber how do u like the 300 blk I have Ben considering getting one because there lighter shorter an easier to move through the house with than my ak

My primary weapon system currently is a 10.5" AR15 with 1000 lumen light and laser. The laser is not for home defense but more for animal control, I live on many acres and this rifle is.... I apologize I meant this pistol is primarily used for Pest Control. At 3 a.m. you have no idea how effective a laser is on a skunk at 100 yards. No need to even turn on my Optics.

That said why shoot a .223 when you can shoot a .308 and even more critically do you know how loud a 10.5" barrel is shooting 5.56 NATO at 3am? Its loud. Loud enough to wake up my kids and piss off my neighbor's. I'd rather have a suppressed rodent gun. I got 99 problems and most of them are skunks and snakes. Haven't had to shoot a home Intruder yet but I'm sure a subsonic suppressed 308 would be effective, especially after looking at the ammo choices I have available. So long story short, yes I am planning on replacing my primary weapon system to a 300 Blackout AR however it's going to take some time before I feel comfortable with this firearm. I typically run a rifle like this for several thousand rounds before I feel it is broken in and this is going to take me at least a year plus the wait time on the suppressor.

Also sorry for all the rhetorical questions like "do you know how loud a 10.5" barrel is" I forget this is the internet and rhetorical is completely lost in words. I'm sure you are quite familiar with how loud a firearm is considering you are using an AK-47 for home defense lol Anyway back to the question you were asking about 300 Blackout. I do like the ammunition choices that are currently out there my favorite ballistically speaking are the lehighdefense.com
