Guns

Anyone ever worry about having a bunch of gear and firearms in the house at the same time?

Runs through my mind a fair bit....

With the way gun control is getting blown out of proportion lately I think its been on my mind more lately about the amount of firearms I have in my home.

Feel like for some reason our wonderful president is more concerned about the law abiding citizens purchasing firearms than the ghetto crack dealers with pounds of coke and illegal weapons..

I find comfort in the fact that my local LE stays occupied with busting the local pill and heroin pushers. I would hope they wouldn't concern themselves over a few vials when the epidemic of actual life stealing narcotics is so high. Overdoses, armed robberies, and murders seem to happen every day here anymore. All over opiates.

and hypothetically keeping your gear and guns in the same place.
I am, hypothetically, considering getting a safety deposit box to store the majority of my gear in. I will only have 1 vial in the house at all times, and just hit the bank to grab a new one, when necessary.

Thoughts on this procedure?

Not a bad idea but too much traveling with it for my taste.

Safety storage boxes can create paper trails - never watched NCIS and other shows like that? :-)

If you have a house - lots of cheap and effective storage solutions.
  • Fake AC vent - preferably a high-mounted return
  • Fake electrical outlet - a deep double box is roomy
  • Removable toe kicks - make use of space under cabinets - or above
  • 3" or 4" PVC pipe built into the right place can create a really long storage compartment with almost no visible footprint
If you're really paranoid, have the true hidden storage compartment behind the first hidden storage.

Let your imagination run - just don't hide anything inside computers, they might snag those.

I wonder what it would take for LE to actually obtain a warrant for someone's home who isn't suspected of major distribution of brewing.

Rich piana publicly posted a cycle that's def what would be considered distribution. I wonder if anything will result from that

Hmm, ideas are flowing now.

Certainly... But if they kick that door in, you bet your ass they will rip everything open....

Check some of my suggestions above, pretty damn hard to find many of them.

I had a 6mm steel "box" welded together, with a stainless steel door - made to perfectly fit in lieu of the base cabinet support. Accessible via a fake toe kick. Absofuckinglutely nobody could find that. Short of an x-ray machine... This was when I lived in Europe in a place that required that all weapons were kept in a safe. Local authorities approved that safe.

Reminds me of Breaking Bad, a bit. Hmm...

Does anyone know if dogs are worthless for sniffing AAS? I was under the impression they are really only good for weed, coke and sometimes heroin/opiates....

Another family member is married to a narc detective and he used to be a K9:er - I think I heard him say that dogs can be trained on ANY substance. But it takes a lot of effort to train them - and dogs and their trainers aren't cheap. And since AAS are suspended in sorta household liquids (grape and cotton seed oil), probably a lot of false positives. I think cops go for the "bang for the buck" and try to focus on drugs and property seizures. Revenue and harassment, that's all it is about.
