GUNS, GUNS, and more GUNS!!

My first pistol ever was the Ruger EC9s and I’ll never get rid of it. It’s nice and concealable although I must say when I first took it to the range took me awhile to get used to the snap. I had to put the pink extension on the mag. Ive pocket carried it mowing the grass and doing shit in the yard during the summer while the kids play outside. Anyway since then I’ve bought the Ruger LCP and the Ruger LCP II in 22lr and I love that little pistol lol I’ll be getting the LCP max at some point In the future. I kinda turned to Glocks as time went on and fell in love with AK over the AR platforms. I forgot to mention I also have the Ruger 10/22 and been looking at the Franklin armory binary trigger for it - look that up on YouTube!
Ruger fanboy, huh? Three good things going for them... rugged, dependable and cheap! Good stuff, I love Ruger too. He made quite a stir in the firearms industry when he opened shop.

So how many guys here are gun nuts like myself?! Feel free to post some pics, if you aint scared of the ATF showing up and shooting your dog! ;) :p
Poor Randy, we'll never forget. At least I won't. One of the greatest travesties of justice in US government history.

Never been a Glock fan, though I do own a direct knockoff S&W that is so close, Glock sued them. Rather, I did own one. Much like other's misfortune, all mine were lost in a tragic boating accident some years ago. Shame.
The sigma yeah? Great gun.

Sorry to hear about that boating accident, same thing happened to me unfortunately a few years ago. Just can’t trust boats like you used to

Close, it's the SD-9. Pitiful trigger from the factory but a 20 dollar trigger kit I bought and installed myself from M-Carbo made it every bit the Glock equal it was intended to be. Sorry to hear about your accident, some kinda design flaw? Maybe Fish and Game needs to look into this more instead of writing so many people tickets for not having a fishing license. Talk about a money racket.

Haha I wouldn’t say a fanboy although I do own quite a bit of Ruger firearms. Definitely a Glock fanboy for sure!

I've had quite a few myself, Ruger LCP, SR9C with a trigger kit, P97DC, LCR .357, even a Ruger American .270 I deer hunted with. All great firearms, very reliable and well made. I'd probably call myself a fanboy.
Glock is OK, definitely goes pop every time you pull the bang switch, just lackluster design. Every Glock looks like the next one. Blocky, I often refer to them as Block. Can't deny the reliability, though. I've seen police issue trade ins sold that had 10k rounds through them that fire just as well as a new one.

I grew up deer and duck hunting so I have always had rifles and shotguns. My dad never really did anything with handguns so I didn't have much experience with them until I became an adult.

I bought one to carry and once I started shooting for practice I fell in love. I have a few now. My ED carry is a Sig 9mm P365. It is my first Sig and I am really liking it. Normally I have stuck to Ruger, but this Sig is going to have my buying some more Sig Sauer products. I recently bought my son a Ruger LCP 380. He is 10 and still gets pretty nervous about the kick from anything bigger. I grew up shooting and learning respect for firearms so I really want my kids doing the same thing.

I've always been a little perturbed by the snap of my LCP. It's to drop in my shorts pocket during the summer and better than a sharp stick since I'm not fully on board with the lethality of .380. Not that the recoil is not manageable, it definitely is, just makes it difficult to line up a follow up shot quickly. It's also prone to slide bite if you're not careful, it's drew blood from me once before when I had my grip too high. Maybe let him try out a .22 till he develops his marksmanship and basic firearms etiquette more? Once recoil sensitivity is learned, it's hard to unlearn.

I have 6.5 creedmoor Ruger american that I haven’t shot yet ‍♂️ just sits in the safe. Pretty much all stimulus money went to firearms and ammo hahahaha I always wanted the Ruger LCR in 22lr but too much money for a pea shooter for me, but yeah I’m my line of work we use Glock and I fell in love with them at the academy so I actually have a good amount of Glocks. Most recent purchase was a Zastava AK and I love the thing! I can talk about firearms all day brother glad we got pro 2A guys in here

It surprised me...I thought the 380 wouldn't pack that much kick but I guess with the small frame and no where for the energy to go you wind up with more kick.

We use a .22 long rifle but I've never owned a .22 hand gun. That's probably a good call.

Same! First time shooting that LCP 380 my initial reaction was “this is not fun” lol

I initially bought my ex wife a Taurus TCP, which was a bit smaller than the Ruger LCP, and the TCP actually has less perceived recoil but it still scared her. I moved her up to a Keltec PF9, thinking perhaps the larger frame would suit her more, still wasn't comfortable with it. We finally decided on the Ruger LCR .357 loaded with.38 rounds and she fell in love with the simplicity and perceived recoil. Seems women have more of an affinity towards revolvers for those reasons.
I've always been a supporter of starting someone out on .22 and letting them work their way up. In her situation though, I did not do so and wished I had. I won't make that same mistake again when training a newcomer.

Lol, it's not pleasant. Definitely not something you wanna take out for a day at the range. I'll run a box through it on occasion just to keep up my proficiency with it, then it sits in my glove compartment as a BUG or when I'm out walking in the summer and don't want to leave a telltale print.

I got the Ruger Max 9, really like it tho I haven't shot it much. With the 10 round magazine, very easy to conceal.

Just picked up a dagger compact 9mm with night sights, pretty much a Glock 19 clone, my new carry pistol lately and I must say for 300$ I’m a fan!

I had never heard of a Dagger before; had to do some googling. Those are slick little clones and are priced very fair. I couldn't really find anything negative on them in reviews or comments from people either. Many of the parts seem to be interchangeable with Glock as well. I may pick one up to take in the woods or river with me.

Several of my coworkers have purchased them and ranted and raved about them so I took the plunge and grabbed one. I went in the store looking for a micro carry but I’ve realized that my hands are too damn big to comfortably shoot a micro, with the p365 being abt the only exception, and I didn’t feel like spending $500+ on a micro carry

The day I bought my P365 I was going in to buy a Glock 19. I was checking out the Glock 19 and another version that caught my eye when the owner of the store walked up and started talking to me. He pulled the gun off his waist and it was the P365..he said if I was going to spend the $$ for the Glock 19 then he suggested I get the P365 instead. I hadn't ever seen one until that day, but with the owner of the gun store suggesting it and it being his ED carry I figured it was a good buy. It coming with night sights helped seal the deal. I have fallen in love with it and would suggest it to anyone that is looking for a ED reliable carry gun. You can't go wrong with this Sig.

If I was spending $500 then I would have, but for the money and capacity I just went with this for now. I’ll probably still get that Sig down the road
