Ghost guns

I have several 3D printers filament and SLA, CNC milling machine, CNC plasma, lathe knee mill ECT. I've also been a Weapons Guild member for over 15 years. So I'm familiar with stuff ;)

He was there to protect businesses. He had full legality to do such things. It's hard for foreigners to wrap their heads around the fact that in America we can protect our sh1t with deadly force if necessary. You want to steal and rob from people You're going to get fvcking shot.
He had a business/shop there? C'mon, true talk here, let the legal bs out, he went there to play little Rambo.

I deal with guns every day, but never went out in public to protect shit that wasn't mine or I was obligated to protect.

California and New York have some of the most restrictive gun laws, yet they also have some of the highest gun-related crimes.

The statistics for California don't support this assertion. Gun deaths are around 8 per 100k, lower than the national average of 13-14. There's a host of other statistics that would support the belief that the gun laws in California increase safety.

Outside of gun deaths per capita, however, it's hard to compare those statistics with others states as they're the product of organizations with a strong anti-gun bias.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting that I favor the silly ass gun laws in California, but I am simply illustrating that your assertion is incorrect.

As for gun owners in America, I don't fucking understand them. Buy a gun, maybe some ammo, post photos on the Internet, put a few rounds down range a year and presume that's sufficient to be able to use a firearm in any scenario for which one might be appropriate.

Law enforcement personnel in this country who, ostensibly are well-trained (hint: they're not) have, on average, about a 20-30% hit rate. That is to say, they hit their intended target about 1 in 5 times. Where'd those other 4 bullets go? If these guys are the ones that are "well-trained" imagine the hit rate of the average gun owner that never trains.

So, yeah, most gun owners that think they're going to protect themselves, their property or their loved ones are actually just LARPing.

Kep that UAV carrying Hellfires in check with your pea shooter....

That sentiment died with the front loading musket.

No I think it's safe to say that this young man was itching to get out there and do something like this. This is one of the reasons our military goes after young men, they think they are invincible and are always itching for a fight. I don't see any distinction between that and our own police. Do you think our police are not out there getting their jollies off throwing their power around on the regular citizens? At the end of the day this kid did nothing illegal regardless how people feel emotionally about it. He went out there with a group of armed citizens which is perfectly legal to protect storefronts. If you're out there protesting and you venture into looting than prepare to get shot. There is nothing wrong with protesting but I draw the line at using a protest as a facade to break into private businesses and steal or damage private property. If I had a business out there I would be grateful that a group of arms citizens would want to come out and help keep people from breaking into my shop and stealing

I have no objection of police force or other official force to do the deed and f those rioters/looters/sob up. I will cheer in the sidelines. But when a citizen gets away playing Judge Dreed, I do have a problem. Cause he is a citizen. If he wants to play Rambo he is free to enlist or go get a badge and do it, so if he overreaches he can get FUBARed and the government can pay the bill for it.

I 've said it and stand by it: USA has a gun problem. As always too much money/votes to deal with it.

Yeah see Americans don't like licking the boots of the government or relying on the governments mother's milk to sustain ourselves, so there is a full conflicting set of ideological values at juxtaposition here with American values vs other countries

It only seems like that to a foreigner that has been indoctrinated into the police state mentality that uses the government to protect them and keep them safe That's not American.

The "government" doesn't have money that is the taxpayers money, my money, And I don't want heavy-handed police thugs using taxpayer money to get bailed out when they're sued for wrongful deaths or for beating and suffocating a handcuffed teenager. They should be personally held liable and should be able to be sued personally not the taxpayers

Those things exist in all other countries. Mass school shootings exist only in the USA. I wonder what is the differentiating factor? Hmmmm....
The US is the last basin with pretty much the last county the normal civil can get a gun without crazy laws regulating and restricting them.

With ALOT of the government in the US wanting to ban or restrict them, tell me how do they push for that?

Because show me any school shooting and I can show you the FBI knowing about them 6 months before. An agenda is being pushed. Mk ultra. Everything happening in the US is because the government is trying to restrict the US citizen.
Both the CIA and FBI do crazy shit, any non American should read up on them. They arent for the American people.
I wont get into this, because honestly yall dont care.

I like how both the people heavily pushing against the gun laws in the US in this thread, Mexico overrun by cartels, and europe overrun by knife wielding illegals. Lovely.
The US is the last free country in my eyes, and its solely on them not being able to ban guns. Once we lose that we have nothing to fight, and saying the military is going to attack its own soil? Sure some soldiers may, but ALOT of the military hold the same values I am stating here and would turn against the government if that ever happened, if that happened you have bigger things to worry about because all hell will break loose in the world. The US controls alot of stuff, places i dont agree with us having our hand in so dont come screaming at me, but what do you think russia or china is going to do if it sees the US losing its shit? It will never happen, at least I hope not because Ill be frontline going against any politicians that signed off on it, with straight joy in my heart.
I don’t believe in restricting any guns, we have too much government overreach as is, what should change is every child should get a class on guns but we’ll never get there.

And anyone commenting on that kid,, have yall seen videos? Iirc he shot them while, HE HIMSELF was on the GROUND, BEING ATTACKED.. maybe dont attack people with a gun and you wont die? They had a choice. Yall make it sound like he was shoulder firing at them from a distance, like cmon now??
End of the day, the legal system found him not guilty , rightfully so.

Mass shootings in school are mainly committed by young white males.

You will never see a picture like this:
View attachment 309522

anywhere in a civilized 1st world country. A 17yr old, trigger-happy "hillbilly" gd moron, that thinks its clobbering time and he is Judge Dreed.
We focused on the foreground or the background of this pic...

I don't own a gun....but I see 2 parts to this story. Just sayin' (and yes, I'm sad someone died...I do truly have compassion for that as well).

This was not a school shooting. He was acquitted (no matter what the opinion of USA laws may be).

Do I think a 17 year old has the sense to predict how quickly they are putting themselves in an unwinnable situation? Nope.

Do I think he went there with some insatiable desire to kill someone? Nope.

Do I think Americans should be able to buy assault rifles and various other paraphernalia at will? Nope.

Do I think law enforcement is infallible? Fuck no (and I am very pro-police...but I might have some very very very directly observed first hand experience seeing some of the failed meathead jock bullies that end up on a force).

Not that anyone asked my opinion...lol.

I'm with you on this especially just looking at it for face-value the dude murdered someone - so he's no free range chicken that can be above the law.

Ironically it's the minority voice from reddit and those lazy-asses from r/antiwork that feel like it's okay for him to be off the hook. Kind of like those annoying mf'ers that block traffic in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon, during rush-hour when everyone's trying to go to work - they got nothing else better going on...

Everyone I've spoken to outside the internet really doesn't see these guys as a martyrs. Just some unhinged individuals that's unforunately gone down the wrong path, leading to wrong choices and in some instances the loss of somebody's life. Really does go to show how chronically online and disconnected some internet spaces can be...

So because you object to Rittenhouse going down there, he deserved to be attacked and killed and should have had no right to defend himself?

What an odd opinion.

The right of self defense exists even if folks are doing something without your stamp of approval.

Rittenhouse was attacking nobody.

And yet manages to kill sex offenders. What are the odds?

This.
Agree.

You do support gun ownership, though.
Do you think current gun control laws in the US are acceptable or should anything be changed?
The age old question, show me any criminal following gun laws.

What should change is gun EDUCATION. There is NONE, besides the few that get it from their parents.
Who knows if education would help or change anything, but its not there so we dont know.

It's not the laws, its the culture and mentality. Hillbillies hoarding guns cause "it's my constitutional right god damn it!".

Fun fact: Switzerland is one of the most liberal countries when it comes to gun ownership, you can have semi automatics or even fully automatic guns with the proper permit, a customary thing due to its militia based armed forces. Nearly every single house has some short of gun there, yet they have one of the lowest if not THE lowest gun related crimes in the world

The average American be like:
Thinking Wondering GIF by First We Feast

In Switzerland, they mandate militia membership (you get taxed with a special tax starting at age 18 if you do not serve) for males. You go for basic training and then bring a SigSauer machine gun home to be kept in case of emergency.

And these teenagers are not taking the machine guns to the local school and shooting anybody or the mall and shooting anybody.

So you point to culture as the difference.

What is the difference in culture to which you refer? Other than mocking hillbillies, your post is not very illuminating on what it is you are thinking about culture in the two countries.
