Yes the provider. If you can handle the wait it's worth it. Those grey tops tested out at above 98% pure. The real deal generic. That's right generic!
This grossly oversimplifying the reproducibility of any analysis by applying the results of single test to a general population of unknowns by stating "they tested at 98%% purity".
That was ONE analysis not multiple and those same products suddenly became unavailable thru the original vendor. Now that stinks IMO and should make one concerned that which was tested was a teaser sample. (It wouldn't be the first time IME!)
Has this 98% purity been established as the norm, for ANY generic GH product, we all know better.
People can make all the apples to orange comparisons they want (such as comparing Ph grade vs generic ED drugs) but "generic GH" DOES NOT and CAN NOT deliver the even close to same quality for only 10 cents on the dollar compared to Ph grade.
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW how the product you recently purchased compares to Ph grade;
1) obtain a baseline and post GH treatment level ENSURING the tests performed are IDENTICAL ASSAYS
2) Obtain a pre and post treatment GH level ENSURING the ASSAYS are identical.
(AN IGF analysis now becomes more important bc it's the most reliable means of evaluating in-vivo BIOACTIVITY)
3) perform a PEG, HPLC and a trypsin fragmentation analysis.
(That's EXACTLY what I'm doing with FIVE separate samples).
Is that better than ONE sample sure, but will it PROVE all generics are good or bad? Obviously that's unlikely but the results may provide some insight into a new generic GH trend or reestablish an old one.
The fact is many who can't afford the real thing are much more inclined to believe that which they to need believe. The result being, a zeal for GH which is not tempered with reason, IMO!
