let alone the amount of money these kids are making with social media , i swear back in the day you had to actually stand out to be rich , now any kid can do literally anything now it’s fucking crazy

It’s the brain rot from doom-scrolling tbh just a bunch of zygotes with an iPhone

yeah, but the older you are, the more temporary the effects are

i will repeat myself, again. everyone should be free to do whatever they desire unless its harm to others. actions have consequences. if one wanna blast 1g of tren which can cause issues, why not? its his decision. same when someone wanna ride bikes and there is risk of instadeath. or if someone wanna be alcoholic. why not? go for it.

let people do what they wanna do.

Letting people do what they want sounds fine until the effects spill over. PED use can affect fertility and even children’s health down the line. At that point it isn’t just personal choice anymore, it’s creating consequences for others who never chose it

I have a channel where all I do is talk philosophy while I sit on the toilet. It's called Real Shit.

i dont know if i have said this before.

but if everyone in the world were like babajagga we would have world peace by 5000 years ago

It’s crazy kids think they need to get all geared up to be successful or do all this looksmaxing stuff to get girls or whatever. Honestly

But ffs social media checks are fucking easy work so I get it. I could work a month in my productive job or do some stupid influencer shit for an 5 days and make double my salary. It’s hard not to say grifting and juicing isn’t worth it financially.

But it’s pretty bad how a lot of these kids get affected. I got a 17 year old client and his dream is to look like David laid, and im glad he’s not a moron so he’s happy to go about it naturally, and actually learn productive values from the process. That being said I bet for every normal kid who is serious in the gym and has someone to help guide there are probably others in equal amounts ready to dumb shit because of social media

It pains me to say it, but unfortunately the fitness and sports/diet nutrition industries and personalities have always thrived on misinformation.

Everybody wants the easy path, and talking like you are the person who just reinvented everything is a surefire way to get a crowd.

Think back to some of the infomercials you might have seen in the 90s and 2000's if you are as old as I am. Broadcast television stations would sell air time to companies that made completely fictious and fraudulent claims about their fitness / diet products. Anyone with a brain would know it was total BS. But the stations wanted the money, and the people were desperate for an easy solution.

We are seeing the same thing today, just reinvented as social media.

And because social media is free.... any dumb fck can jump on and pitch absurd ideas, and even dangerous ideas, and get an instant following.

The general public has never had enough knowledge about fitness and food to prevent them from falling for cult like promises. So the idiots today are no different than the idiots of yesterday.

They just have more people trying to fool them.

The only way to fight it is by educating them.

Doing that one at a time as each reddit clown tumbles into the forum here is a task none of us are excited about.

What if we made a thread with sold foundational resources to expose them to in attempt to deprogram them from the cults and propaganda they are infected by?

It's a good idea, but unfortunately probably won't do much either. The likelihood of the same folks who can't be bothered to read the rules or search aren't going to take the time to digest a post with a myriad of basics and references.

Anecdotally: Many young folks these days are either just too dumb, or actually do understand that they aren't making any effort to learn but won't change that behavior anyways.

It's really odd, as I recall knowing everything when I was young too but once there was proper information available that clearly outlined otherwise, I changed my perspective and/or thought process and moved on using that info. That doesn't really happen now, and that's kind of the root of the issue IMO. It's that bias to the first thing people hear about something as being true, but 100x worse.
