Most biodiesel will not run in semi-tractors made in the last 3 years because the fucking EPA forced the engine plants to use a "new and improved" EGR valve..and all it has done is fucked everything up!!! The new valves suck ass and go out all the time...and they actually get less gas mileage than they did 5 years ago. And there is oodles of scientific data to back this up.

SC...you have a brand new freightliner correct?? You will be replacing the EGR valve in about a year or so.

And like I stated in my previous post, diesel is more expensive because the refineries are devoting their capacity to regular unleaded gasoline because it offers a bigger margin. It's just simple economics.

No man, I could'nt afford 90.000... mines the older modle and will burn wheat if it has to.. Most pumps around here state that 2007 and up will not be allowed to run current pump fuel.. I was wondering why. So when the 07"s come out our current fuel will go up again ,,, right??
and Bob I said 2.63,, how much your way bub,,,

Gas was $3.19 for me today. Kinda silly that it costs over 40 bucks to fill a Cavalier. Man, I remember when I first got it and it was 15 bucks. Oh, I sure do miss the good days. :p

I used to have a 1995 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder. It only had something like a 14 gallon fuel tank, and gas was less than $1.00 a gallon. I could fill up for like $12. Should have kept that damn thing.

Probably. The oil companies will use anything to justify a price increase. You use LSD (low sulfur diesel) in your truck. High sulfur diesel is used to run road/farm equipment. It is tax exempt and costs like $1.80/gallon right now. But, it is usually died red/pink and if DOT stops you and you are running pink fuel in your truck, you're done!! It's very illegal.

I think the new EGR valves only work with an even lower sulfur fuel, which theoretically is supposed to reduce emissions because it burns "cleaner". So the oil companies will say something like "....we need to clean it up more and this adds to our costs".

$2.63-2.67 this morning in my area. Down about 40 cents in the past week or two.

It cost around $70 to fill our suv and get 300 miles for a full tank.

Since gas has gone up I'm suprised you dont hear of people stealing gas. I figured some ass would get cought sucking it out of someone elses tank

There have been dozens of fuel thefts and drive-offs in my area. A lot of gas stations now require cash payments to be made before filling up, particularly in the evening/night.

I can't stand pay before you pump! It annoys the absolute shit out of me! When I fill up, I want to fill it completely to the top of the tank. HTF am I supposed to know if that's going to cost 42.57 or 44.09?

yeah, I think every filling station near me is either "pay at the pump" or "pre-pay". It's because of crack heads like my cousin who fill up and drive off.

Speaking of my cousin, I think I"ve told you guys about him a little bit and all the problems he's had with heroin. They found him dead a few weeks...34 years old. He leaves a little girl behind that's 11 years old. The sad thing is the little girls mom, who also had a drug addiction, just died about 7 months.

You know, that's probably better for her anyway. Now she'll be with your Aunt, right? It's sad and all, but now the girl might have a chance at a decent life.

I was just about to same thing, Its probably her best shot at a decent life.

yeah, we all pretty much feel the same way. My cousin was showing signs of hope over the last 2 months, but he had done that off and on for 8 years. He was never going to change and he eventually would of ended up hurting an innocent person really really bad with his stupidity.

Fortunately for the little girl, she's lived with my aunt (who has had legal custody of her since she was 7) for about 4 years now, so her day to day routine of waking up in my aunts house and getting ready for school will not change. It's not like she lost her parents and now has to go live with relatives whom she doesn't know...so that's good.

And while my aunt is torn apart over he sons death, she does feel more comfortable knowing that his pain and misery is over. He's been a manic depressive and flat out miserable for years now, so she tells herself that now he's not fighting with his demons anymore. She no longer lays awake at night thinking "..is he okay, where's he at, what's he doing, who is he with, is he in trouble."? And when the phone rings at 3:00 in the morning, she no longer has to wander "...is this THE phone call she's been dreading to receive?"

The big thing around here is they go steel someone's car tag and put it on there car and then drive off from the pump.
