Frozen BB

Has anyone ever had there BB arrive frozen solid? The GSO and BA were cold but still liquid and the BB was a rock hard crystal. Would it still be safe to use for a home brew after letting it warm up? It appears to be turning into a solution again....

No worries brother. BB's melting/freezing point is 64 deg F. The melting/freezing of a substance has no effect on chemical properties. Think of it this way, you have water, you freeze the water and then melt it. You still have water.

thanks guys. i didnt think it would be a problem. just had to make sure as this is my first brew and i'm a little paranoid. i want everything to be perfect!
I just ran into another problem.... rather then starting a new thread maybe u guys can help me out...
I got .22 micron filters and realized they are NOT sterile. I've read that this is not a big deal as long as you pressure cook the brew after. The BA will also ensure the gear is clean. i would like a couple more opinions on this matter. is it worth the risk?
