From fatass to first cycle in 12 months

Relatively new member here and I wanted to share my progress in case my learning help other newbies. I will share the progress over the last 12 months in this post and update as things progress. I started a weight loss Journey in January and I have a Hawaii vacation at Christmas time, so that because a target for me to be in the best shape possible.

TLDR;
Janaury - May: Tirzepitide only
May - September: Began TRT at 160mg Test Cyp per week
September: Bumped Test to 210mg per week, started 2iu HGH
November: started my first blast 300 Test / 150 Primo
December 12th: added first dose of 10mg Anavar sublingual

I am a 51 year old male, 5' 7" tall, former college soccer player and someone who has been in and out of the gym since I was 15. After having kids about 15 years ago, my diet and exercise habits turned to garbage and work stress got pretty intense. In January this year, I weighed in at 248 and a whopping 37% body fat. I decided something had to change, as my Dad was a type-2 diabetic and I did not want to go down the same road that he did. I new my insurance would cover a GLP-1 and my PCP is a very good dude and fully supported me going on Zepbound (Tirz). My plan was to go low and slow, sticking with the lowest effective dose as long as I could. I stayed on each dose (2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5) for 8 weeks before titrating up. It felt great to get back in the gym while I was losing all this weight. Working out was fun again and I was starting to see the lean muscle map climb up on my scale.

In May of this year, my PCP told me that he was going to a local TRT Clinic and that I should look into it. He ordered the bloodwork for me and I signed up for 1 month, until I found the much cheaper online clinics. I spent 6 months at a TRT dose of 160mg Test Cyp per week. My Total Test was 887 ng/dL and Free was 178 ng/dl at that dosage. My E2 in August was only 23 pg/mL because I was listening to the clinic's advice and proactively taking low-dose Anastrozole. I have stopped that.

The TRT levels were great for recomping while on Tirzepitide. I love the strength gains, adding muscle mass and the recovery. I started really seeing true recomposition, where my weight loss was fat only and I was slowly adding muscle. I starting listening to podcasts, researching forums and experimenting with other peptides. From a peptide perspective, I have used BPC/TB, GLOW, Tesamorelin / Ipamorelin, NAD+, 5 Amino 1MQ, SLU-PP-332

I wanted to kick things up a notch, but I also want to make sure I am basing everything on proper lab results. I tend to aromatize fairly strongly, so I focused on managing estradiol through stable testosterone levels and by adding a compound that functionally counterbalances estrogenic signaling, so I chose Primo at a ratio of 2:1 (test : Primo). I am currently running 300 test per week, injected daily and 150 Primo per week, injected MWF. In my recent labs, my Total T was 1706 ng/dL, Free was 547 and E2 Ultrasensitive was 39 pg/mL. Pretty damn perfect with no AI at all.

Other labs after 4 weeks on 300 Test / 150 Primo:
LDL: 93
HDL: 38
Triglycerides: 87
Lipoprotein(a): <10
IGF-1: 138
Hemocrit: 46.5
Cortisol: 10.4
DHEA: 122
Ferritin: 210
A1c: 5.1
Cystatin C: 1.22
eGFR: 62
CMP and other labs are all in the green
Blood Pressure: 120/69

With about two weeks to go before I head to Hawaii for a family vacation, I wanted to add some Anavar sublingual to the mix. I started 10 mg daily today after I had all my lab results back. Bringing Anavar in as a small bump to strength, hardness, and nutrient partitioning. The goal isn’t scale weight, just better performance and a subtle recomposition effect on top of the stable Test + Primo backbone. I'll be on the beach at Christmas time and this next couple of weeks is like my final prep. As I finish this phase of going from fatass to human again, I want to finish strong.

I attached two pictures from January where I was 37% bodfat. I also added a picture from 12/9. My Hume scale kinda glitched on me two weeks ago and started under-reporting my bodyfat. I was sitting at 13.5% at Thanksgiving and then it suddenly said I was 10.5% a week later, which is obviously not possible. Today I weigh 195.

Diet: I have been following the Vertical Diet to keep things simple and balanced. I am targeting around 2,400 calories per day, but at 10mg per week of Tirz, I have to really work at mechanical eating to get there.

Sleep: I wear a Whoop band and track sleep religously. I cut WAY back on alcohol about 4 months ago, primarily because it is poison and I see how badly it wrecks my sleep and recovery.

Current Peptide Stack:
- 10mg Tirzepitide weekly
- GLOW daily
- BPC/TB injected locally for sore elbows and shoulders
- 2.5iu HGH
- Thymosin Alpha 1 - 1mg MWF

Gyno: I have had gyno since I was a teenager. I have alwas freaking hated it, but it wasn't until I joined this community that I really learned more about it. I am hyper-aware of it, so I keep a close eye on E2, while being patient and making sure I don't crush it.

Workouts: I workout twice a day. I use the times I take my son to and from high school to hit the Planet Fitness near his school. After I drop him off, I do morning fasted LISS cardio, 30-45 mins. When I pick him up in the afternoon, we lift together for about 45 minutes. He’s 15 and it has been some great bonding for us. He’s gone from 120 to 140 in 2 months, powered by natural teen hormones.

when I wake up in the morning; I also inject 650mg of l-carnitine IM. I feel like that has really helped with fat loss.

Split: we split our workouts as Legs, chest and arms, shoulders and back. we typically get to the gym 5 days a week.

Welcome. Great recomp. Very reasonable approach. Keep us posted. And great job not going full Chase Irons like many of the dumbasses in here...like me...)
