Forgot to filter BA

Hi,

I use nebido for TRT and as nebido vials do not have any BA I usually add USP Grade BA to nebido.

Well today I just forget to filter the BA with a filter syringe (0.06 ml) before adding it to Nebido,

Filtering nebido is out of the question as it is too thick and I don't have my filtering equipement (only serynge filter).

Am I ok if my BA is USP or should I just call it a loss and throw the Nebdio vial

I doubt you’ll get someone to tell you it’s okay… but it’s all personal risk tolerance. Since you’re asking, I’m guessing you know the safe answer... Toss it.

Heat up the vial, you can filter it.
Get it to 50c.

Hang on. Do you mean 100% USP BA, or .09% BA BAC water (which I doubt you'd mix in oil, but don't want to assume).

100% Benzyl Alcohol isn't just bacteriostatic, it's bacterioCIDAL at that concentration.

The likelihood of it being unsterile isn't zero, but very close to zero.

As a USP product, it'll already quite chemically pure.

The biggest risk from not filtering are particulates, USP doesn't have a limit for BA, and filtering is specified when using for injectables. But you likely used a very tiny amount if its pure BA, so that's a minimal risk too.

It would make little sense. Filtring 4 ml of Nebdio will waste too much.

Also I only have 1 ml serynges and 10 mm diameter filter serynge. I think it will take years to filter it manually

I'm probably the biggest proponent of filtering around here, but while not filtering this isn't great, for a one time event it's very low risk. Like I said, the odds of anything surviving in 100% BA is next to nothing.

I think you can filter it.

its 50% BB. its fairly thinned out.


Would I inject it? yea.

Would I give it to someone else to inject? no

I made the foolish mistake of transferring ampules of Nebido into sterile vials. Note that you can actually fit 12 mL in a 10 mL vial. Stupid me didn't realize there was no BA in the mix, I used it a couple times with no ill effect. But I quickly bought a bottle of BA and added one percent to the vials.
I hadn't thought about filtering the BA. I've pulled a few times out of the bottles with no problems so far. I figured it was already sterile since it came from a multi use vial.
I was a lot less careful 40 years ago when I was mainlining narcotics.

No ill effect, not that i would recommend anyone to do it

My testosterone blood levels were a lot lower than I had expected based on steroidplotter.
I'm wondering if micro dosing has a different effect than bolus dosing, with a quicker release and a shorter half life.
I'm doing a TRT level dose of 125 mg every 10 days, which according to steroidplotter should put my total testosterone at around 1000 mg/mL with Nebido. If my blood levels are looking low and I'm not feeling optimized, I'm gonna bump it up to one week intervals.
I think the pharmacokinetics maybe off, and it operates more like Test U in MCT oil.
Steroidplotter lists Nebido, MCT, and castor oil, but gives different pharmacokinetics between castor oil and Nebido, which is essentially the same thing, Nebido is in castor oil and BB.

Interesting, almost identical weekly dose as mine except I'm taking it as 125mg every 10 days which equals 87.5mg/wk, yours works out to 85mg/wk.
I'm trying to do less frequent injections, while maintaining the flattest blood levels.

My shbg got really low those last 4 months making my free T high

I don’t really know why. Only thing that changed is I started taking artichoke and black garlic pills daily. But I really don’t know what is the reason.

If you want to filter Nebido also, you can heat it up
