First Cycle?-Pheezer

This is my first post, but I have been coming to the board for a few weeks. I want to thank Pheezer for his FAQ for newbies. My roomate and I want to start our first cycle soon. Both of us are big guys, and we not only want to get bigger, but also rip up. I am 6'2" and 275lbs. I was wondering if the stack that you recommended in your FAQ will help us rip up, and not just get bigger, since this is one of our primary goals. I was planning on doing the Second stack that you mentioned, but I would like to get some feedback, first, if possible. Thanks again to everyone who posts. It has been a big help, and has made me a lot more comfortable.

everyone wants to get big and ripped at the same time, but it only happens to a select genetically gifted few and even then their diet is manipulated as well. gh plays a big rold as well. i dont think you are ready for that yet. stick with test at 500mg per week with arimidex, and clomid post-cycle, eat clean every 2 hours on and off the juice.

It's in your Diet

Whats your bf% right now?
You can "rip up" with any stack just about, it's all in your diet. Bro please research a lot more before you start. It's not as easy as sticking some test and throwing some dbol in ya. Please research.

Need more of your info, time training total, recent length training, age, body goals (bulk, ripped mass or semi-ripped mass, or straight cut), current diet, general lifestyle (physical job or not type stuff), history with training, ect.
We can help you better with this intel!

Thanks to everyone for posting. You are right, and I do plan on researching a lot more before I start. I am not going to pick what cycle to use for another month. I am at about 17 to 20 percent body fat, so I can definitely shed some weight. I had a serious ankle injury, so I couldn't train heavy for about 6months of rehab. I am 22 right now I train three days a week for 1hr and 30min. At one point I got up to 300 lbs while I was hurt, so I am shedding pounds now. I am down to 275 as I said earlier. I am still losing weight. I have been on an Atkins type diet, but I eat a cup of oatmeal in the morning, and have a small amount of carbs at lunch. No carbs after 4 however. Lots of protein: chicken, tuna, protein shakes. I've been training for 9 years, and I played college football before I got hurt. I was also competed in power lifting for 2yrs. Eventually I would like to be Ripped, but right now I just want to add some semi-ripped mass. I am have been on a cardio program for the past couple of months, but I plan on stepping that up in the next week. Thanks for the help, and from what I have seen so far I picked the right board.

So what you're saying is..you wanna give up powerlifting to be a body builder!!!!
Say it isn't sooooo!!???!!!???? J/k to all you BB's out there ;)

As was stated allready, you can't really Bulk up and Cut up at the same time. You may be able to add a few pounds of lean body mass while dieting but You can gain so much more if you commit yourself to succeding on your cycle...and that means eating to gain...If you wanna bulk you can't be afraid of adding a little extra body fat..You should really choose one or the other. Most people don't usually run "Cutters" as their first cycle...If you wanna be a body builder and have that type of physique I would just try and diet down on my own and get to about 12-14% Bodyfat and then run a cycle...

It's sometimes difficult for people to gauge just how much their body fat % really is. I've seen a lot of guys who think they are 17-18%bf when in actuality they are a lot closer to 25%...I'm not saying this is the case with you..but it's something that you might think about. Buy a set of calipers and find out for sure.

BTW, thanks for the kind words about my FAQ!

A lot of good info here guys. Another option is what phreezer said, diet down a bit before you run a cycle. You can get a good ECA stack to assist you in this.
