Filtering water based with PTFE filters

Due to PTFE filters being hydrophobic, they are not good for filtering water based solutions, or so i've read.

But what about PTFE filters, marketed as PTFE Hydrophilic? Is this a mistake, or is it the best of both worlds? Would you be able to use these with oil based solutions?

I use 0.22um PTFE hydrophilic for oils and for peptides, I use 0.1um PES.

@narta has said that hydrophilic can be used for both, or @narta am I wrong?

Both are suitable, with the hydrophilic ones being able to filter bac water and anything water based
