Filtering finished oils

I'm not following you. Just open up all the amps, buy one sterile vials and filter multiple amps into one sterile vial. Painful but better than trashing amps
37€ now just for this, 20€ first time, 10€vials, 10€ some shady filters im not using

and my time...for 50ml of amps
total disaster but I was not smart about it. Leason learned I guess... but wish I had bought vials as intended...

Maybe this video will be helpful for your case when combining with info from other video. Best wishes.

Can someone tell me the best and easiest way for a noob to refilter gear? I know I need sterile vials, and a .22um PTFE filter, but what's the method and process to ensure I'm doing everything correctly? Perhaps we need a guide out here somewhere.

Read this thread. Watch videos on pp.9 and 10.

Just my opinion but these vials on Amazon are trash. I bought a box of them (they come individually wrapped in twos) for filtering "semi-finished" oils into. For practice (I know...) I filtered one of my pharma vials into one of them and now I have multiple floaters in the oil! There were no visible floaters in the pharma vial + the vial was filtered at .22um. The floaters could have only already been in the vial. Caveat emptor on this brand of cheap vials.

I will toss them and order the recommended Ultra Spec vials. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the review. I am definitely picking some of these up.

USP <788> to the rescue. Sterile and clean.

Strange ks-tek has always been great with the vials and many of the brewers here use them

We also sterility tested like ~30 of them and they all came back good.
Idk - does "sterile" necessarily mean no foreign material? Maybe they're not exclusive. If the chinese guy doing the steam sterilization had a dandruff problem and stuck his face in the steam the dandruff could theoretically be sterile? Maybe its nothing...

Could be your filters... I have used severL of tgat brand.. 20ml, 50ml and 100ml.. I mainly use ultra spec, but I've never had problems with ks tek, could be the vials though.. what kind of filters are u using?

"Micro-emboli" just rolls off the tongue,

Also this; "USP or that vial's not for me".

And: "Particulates. The vile in vials."

"I don't filter and I've never injected particles. Worst that's ever happened to me was the usual PIP, some warmth, and redness."
