Favorite Carrier Oils?

safflower oil is all that I will use these days (for more than a few years now)
I've tried a number of them.. GSO being a thinner viscosity is weaker when it comes to keeping higher mgs/ml experiments in solution. (without having to resort to other chems to take up the slack)
My BA/BB ratio also remains the same at 2%/18%

Hey basskiller, what is the highest mg/ml you've gotten using only safflower oil? Short and long esters please.

Basskiller, you think safflower would help me to brew boldenone cypionate at 200mg/mL without it crashing later? All I have is GSO on hand but i'm now intrigued that someone with your experience level only uses safflower oil-- kinda a strong endorsement.

If I were brewing Bold Cyp at 200mg/ml, I'd start with 2% BA, 20% BB, and whatever oil you prefer (I prefer Safflower to GSO). If it doesn't hold, consider EO/Oil, EO only, or additional BB. Experiment your way in.

nice info , thanks :)

Thanks for the advice. I'll do 2% BA, 20% BB and then 50/50 EO/GSO. Why do you prefer Safflower oil?

Safflower and cottonseed is used by pharma and the rancidity shelf life is longer. I also like that the thicker oils through a 25g needle cannot be injected too fast...it injects slowly which is good and is a self regulating control.

I've used gso and nothing wrong with it but just don't see much advantage.

Thanks for the explanation. Does a thicker more viscous oil also aid in keeping a compound suspended?

Possibly, but I've never had the opportunity to prove that theory. To prove it, take a compound and brew it with gso at a dose that barely crystallizes (May need to use controlled temperature). Then do the same with safflower and see if you get a different result at the same temp.

BK may have proven this already, but not sure he posts regularly.

Science experiments are fun ;)

I could try it with stanz or test base. Is safflower thinner than gso?

Safflower is thicker than GSO.

Would love to see that experiment done...if you do, be as precise as possible with the controlled variables.

Hypothesis - thicker carrier oil will reduce crystallization

they will.. a mentor of mine (dazed) had a mix of oils where one was very thick. If anyone remembers his online business, he carried what he called super oil or something to that effect. You could suspend damn near anything in it It contained very little others also like Ba BB

There is a lot of information here, about 1/3 of the way through is some oil stuff.

Now i am no brewer but i do have a question a close friend to is and he liked the idea that one of my sources uses coconut oil.
May be a stupid question but i guess if there are guys who use it my buddy should be able also? If i had a choice and could it would be coconut because it is thin and for me it is very smooth...........................

Sorry about hijacking your guys turf just wanted to know:cool:

I have seen certain labs use coconut oil, surely, as is my understanding that coconut oil is a solid at room temp. I use coconut oil when cooking my meals myself. Very curious how this is done,or am I being naive and its some kind of different type? Thanks
