Fasting and Eating.

Is it a good idea to fast and get all macros in between an 6-8 hour window?

Is there any downsides to this?

The only major downside I.M.O is it isn't optimal for hypertrophy. Optimally for hypertrophy you want a steady supply of all essential amino acids and full glycogen supplies would be preferred. If you're fasted for most of the day, there is a chance you will mess up the hypertrophy process by not having strong enough plasma levels to make the body want to grow. I do like intermittent fasting during a cut though.

It has its benefits. Fasting is good for you. It works well when cutting. You don't have to be still a little hungry after each meal. A 24h fast let's you eat maintenance throughout the week, and still cut calories. Probably not the best strategy for just size though. Like a lot of things, I like to "cycle" it. There's also a "spiritual" benefit, if you will.

Yes i have been doing the fast its working well.

Why fasting has become such a hot topic with men trying to BUILD THEIR BODIES is beyond me! It's an absolute shit way to diet in most cases. Unless someone is trying to improve health markers or has been eating boatloads of food for a long time, I see no use for the intermittent fasting diet

The moment i eat breakfast i am constantly hungry, so when using hgh, doing a fast which also allows me to not feel hungry all day is nice. The moment i eat one meal i want more.

I do find value in the HGH shot on an empty stomach and to hold off a bit before the meal. HGH makes me hungry as fuck regardless though, hahaha

If its working well go with it! It is contrary to the science but science is only accurate to what is measured. If your gaining while doing this it might be worth documenting. I wouldnt do it though but im trying to do pb not bb. Its critical to stay steady and in a sufficient surplus. Are you running tren or primo?

I am cutting, not bulking. When you say gaining did you mean bulking?

I only use it when cutting. Just a tool to be able to eat larger meals in an eating window, really. It’s easier to NOT eat for a longer stretch, because when I break the seal and start eating, it’s tough to stop, if that makes any sense. Wouldn’t touch it on a bulk.

So everybody knows, anything that creates an insulin reponse is going to ruin a fast. So for the past 3 weeks i have been doing fasted cardio. But it was pointless as my preworkout has sucralose in it which ruins your fast since it creates an insulin response. Eveyone beware.

all preworkouts will ruin a fast

stick to coffee. Or wait until after doing your fasted cardio.

dammit!!!!

glad i found out now.

also vitamin water zero is ok, but has erithryrol and is a “dirty fast”

glad i found out now, so i stop wasting my time thinking i am doing intermident cardio fasted with my HGH when i am actually not.

my c4 workout has sucralose, so even though it says no calories it still produces an insulin response.

dam!

The best results I’ve had cutting, were with intermittent fasting. Black coffee and water only up until 3pm, then I would eat 500cal under maintenance. Nothing but water after 8-9pm. High protein, 125g carbs/day, low fat. I can loose 1-2 pounds per week that way.

It’s a fairly miserable experience, honestly. I feel lethargic a lot and I mail in a lot of my workouts. I’m trying to find a better way, I work 60hrs/week on my feet and my performance takes a hit.

You’re fine, sucrose won’t spike insulin, you’re still fasted so long as there’s no calories. I run yohimbine after my coffee with some sucralose sweetener with no issue. Only thing to take into consideration is if the sweetener is in a packet with malto or dextrose.

*Sucralose.....pardon me

LOL! I do fasted cardio. Nothing but water. But I do not "fast" in the sense that I go many hours or all day without eating or eat only in a narrow window. I come home, shower, and down my 6-8 eggs and half cup to cup of oats, or, if seriously cutting, two eggs and cup of egg whites and half cup or cup of oats depending on how many carbs I need that day. I put chopped up gala apple and cinnamon in the oats for flavoring (weigh and track the apple).
