Extrem Reta overreaction

Hi guys,

I am 20 years old and wanted to use reta to cut down a little bit on the fat.
I was about 95kg on 188cm and wanted to get to 90kg quickly.
Therefore I went with retatrutide, started at 0.5mg 2x/w and went to 1mg 2x/w after 1 week
I did this for 3.5 weeks and then i got really sick because i couldnt eat ANYTHING. I ate like 500-800 kcals a day and I couldnt eat anymore in the 3.5 weeks I lost 10kg...
I still dont know why this happened, in some studies they went up to 20-30mg/week, I did 2...
I thought about a Insulinsenitivity and checked it but the bloodwork looks good, do you think my stuff was just more dosed than advertised? But even then it couldnt have been more than maybe 6mg a week.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

That’s an extreme reaction to Reta. Where did you buy it? What you are experiencing sounds more like how Sema suppresses hunger, not Reta. I really never felt any true hunger suppression on Reta, even at 8mg.

Honestly I dont remember the website name because it has been some time now but it is definetly a trustworthy source, just a little more expensive. You think it was Sema instead of Reta?

you are 95kg at 188cm. bro u needed to cut 5kg.

i went from a appetite of 5000-6000 calories sounding easy to struggling getting 2000 calories on just 2mg weekly. this stuff is really potent only good seller in america, just not needed in the rest of the world lmao

The symptoms and level of hunger suppression is more in line with Sema than Tirz or Reta. But without testing there is no way to know for sure. Do you have some Reta from another source you can switch to? That would allow you to determine if it’s truly Reta that’s causing your issues or just that particular source’s product.

Keep in mind it takes around 3 weeks for Reta to leave your system. It also takes about three weeks to peak in your system when you start taking a GLp.

I have some different reta but dont intend to use it at the moment as i am still only at 88kg but in the furture i will try

It takes 4 weeks to reach a steady state blood level of any of the once a week glp drugs, so the level in your system will keep going up for 4 weeks after any dose increase. Which is exactly when you noticed it. This website has a nice little program that shows this: GLP-1 Plotter - Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy) & Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) Dose Calculator. This effect got me when I tried to increase doses of semaglutide and could not work out why the worst side effects were so delayed from when I increased doses. Everyone has different sensitivities to the hunger suppressing and side effects of these medications. It is perfectly possible that you just found out the slightly too high dose for you for retatrutide, so you need to stop until you feel better , then lower the dose. it is not impossible you were sent something else like semaglutide instead but being more sensitive than average to the effects of reta are more likely.

sounds like a good ass reaction, lower the dose and ride it out, eat protein
This could work. Right when I started Reta it got rough about a week in. One day especially. I ate a bowl of bran cereal… I burped and farted for an entire day after… these were jet propelled too.

Knocked back on the slow digesting foods and good now.

I've been using Reta for the past 6 weeks @2mg twice weekly and have kept my foods to fairlife fat free ultra filtered milk, white rice, egg whites with 2 whole eggs mixed in, 15 grams of walnuts for fat and a 2x serving of whole psyllium husks every evening for fiber.

My digestion has been on point, no burping, no farting, no nausea, no discomfort. I drink about 40 ounces of milk and 400grams of egg whites each day to keep protein high/ish. I can't stomach chicken or any other lean protein right now, so drinking milk for protein has really helped.

I add 30 grams of Gatorade powder to my gym water to get some glucose during workouts and that really helps

I'm able to get about 1,300 calories down each day with those foods.

Great job figuring out how to keep things down. It wasn’t nearly as rough for me.

I have to ask, do you want to eat 1300 calories or are you finding it impossible to eat more? Just seems so low I wonder how you can function. Lowest I can go on a deep cut is 1900 or so.

Hmm
Maybe this is why i keep farting..
Perhaps slow digesting food + slower digestion of GLP's don't work so well togther..?
