Sorry about this one bros....

I just recently changed my diet.

5'9
185lbs
31 yrs old

Daily
Calories a day 3000
Carb 150
Protein - 280 - 300

Since this switch upping cals by 600 700 calories and lowering carbs by about 50 I cannot take a number 2 for like 4 days???
I feel okay, actually better. Stomach is a little bloated but not much.
Any thoughts???

Sounds good Frosty!

I will try jogging, jumping rope more.

I like yogurt, how about cottage cheese. I try to get at least 1 - 1.5 cups a day though of that stuff along with 1 small can of tuna a day???

Thanks for the advice though.

I will let you know "in the end"

If the diet change doesn't work-- go to your pharmacy and get Fleet Phosphosoda-- use half of the 3oz bottle. This is the same company that makes enemas- but you might not have to go that route.

Prescription-wise it is Colyte/ Nu-Lytle/ Go-lytle-- alrge container of Kool-aid like liquid that you must drink until gone-- and then the toilet will be your best friend!

Work on it because what goes in must come out (or go somewhere else?)

sounds to me like you might not be gettin enough fiber, and that would surely keep you off the crapper. ditch the pasta which is virtually fiber free and stick with pinto beans. they gots TONS of fiber and very few carbs, so you can keep your carbs down. theyve worked wonders for me so far, and they'll get you back on the throne in no time

you must be eating a ton of fat on that diet to get to 3000kcals with those numbers you listed for carbs and protein. comes out to about 20/40/40 carbs/protein/fat. not a diet i'd like to be on.

to answer the original question. metamucil will work wonders when you can't get enough dietary fiber from whole food sources.

it's a pretty well accepted fact that when starting a low carb, hi protein diet digestion will slow down. you should definately get some fiber asap. this one time is no big deal, but in general you don't want food sitting around so long. it's rotting in there.

OMG i took the Fleet stuff and i was pissing out of my ass,but i didn't feel it cleaned me out of all solid waste. I'm trying the psyllium now, because i heard it was easier on the body,so i'll try that for a week or so.

coffee... nature's laxative.

And when that one doesn't work, try fiber-one cereal or metamucil... they are the tactical nukes of your doody-system... they'll definitely help to eliminate your problems.

Try adding a teaspoon of flax oil to your shakes... you won't taste it and it'll help your body balance itself.

LOL.... I remember I had to drink two entire bottles of that Fleet stuff in preparation for a colonoscopy about a year ago. I would like to forget about that little ordeal!

My favorite fiber and the only one that did the trick fo rme was chitosan. I popped a couple of those before my two biggest meals and I was dropping the kids off at the pool without a problem. Kept my doodies clean too. I probably recooped the cost of the fiber back in my toilet paper savings.

wtf does that mean??? lol
Lots of times on high protein diets I hear people complain of having messy bowel movments. When I take the chitosan fiber I leave rabbit-pellet-like (but larger) doodies. Not alot of mess back there.

Boy what a conversation! LOL
