Eliminating shoulder presses?

some of these machines are so smooth and execute the proper planes and angles , i also like the stability i get from some of these plate loaded hammer strength machines, and i have serious shoulder injuries currently, so they have been my saving grace,,
Also you can sit diffently on them, and adjust your hand and wrist angles until you find something that works for you. Sometimes if you just sit down at the machine the way it's "supposed" to be used, it might not be ideal.

I'd give it a shot when you get the new shoulder to get it back up to where you want it.

I definitely follow what you’re saying and completely agree. Once I’m back up and running I definitely have to modify my training and thinking to keep healthy.

I took some advice regarding preexhausting the muscles with “simple” exercises before moving on to heavy pressing and notice reduced pain/inflammation already. I think utilizing more machines will reduce the chance of injury from instability and allow me to focus more on the targeted muscle groups.

20-30 years of a routine that produces good results is hard to mentally switch gears. That’s why I enjoy getting different perspectives and tips to help shine a light in my blind spots.
