I started having all my workout related injuries at the age of 39 when my test levels started dropping that is what drove me to HRT. I still injure but I feel a hell of a lot better.Ronin_ said:I have had a spate of injuries for months now, and I wondered if my low test levels were causing this? Ive had low test about a year now.
Ronin_ said:Yeah same here, always been very robust, now pull muscles very easily, AND they heal VERY badly.
bump for more opinions
Bro i dread the point in my life when i can't life the way i want, but after an ACL replacement in one knee, a PCL reconstruction in the other, and elbow surgery, I am going to be a mess one day. I wish we could find out what causes the problems you are having, especialy if it's something other than wear and tear.Ronin_ said:maybe bro I just know since since sept 03 in 10 weeks of training I pulled my adductors, my right knee hurt too much to train, I pulled my right tricep - and that has a knot of scar tissue in now, that catches when i extent my arm, finally i pulled my left bicep. At which point I got very pissed and jacked training in, and put on 20lbs over the next 4 months lol. I trained easy and light, built it up, and at no point went above 90% effort
The one thing I have learned fom my injuries is to give up on the heavy lifting all the time. I still lift heavy fom time to time to break the routine up, but for the most part I stick to light to moderate weight at 10-12 reps to help bring out the cut in the muscles and I can still build from that. I have been lifting for 15 years and have met most of my goals so now at my age I am happy just keeping my body in graet shape.Ronin_ said:yeah me too bro

ENDRO said:60ng is very low it would be impossiable to keep mass with that number, I would guess your muscles where flat and kinda saggy and you put on body fat easily. I would venture to guess your muscles have wasted away from lack of test kinda like elderly people do.
Are you on test now?
Well I wish you the best of luck. If you need the name of a good HRT doc and you already have the blood work send me a pm I have several good friends that use him and are very happy.Ronin_ said:it is hard to keep muscle and strength, and I have gone upto 15% BF, but the main thing is the injuries, and I have zero libido, and erectile functioning is very poor, I wouldn't be joking to say I need Viagra to jerk off lol
I am not on test at the moment, but 100mg clomid ED, as I want to do things through a doctor the proper way, and they will refuse me treatment if Ive been self medicating

SWALE said:Just generally, because hypogonadism is an unhealthy state, and those who are unhealthy are more prone to injury, I would have to say yes.
