Was wondering what the general consensus is on this. I have been having some issues with dizziness. Also some weird breathing issues. For example I start to exhale and I’m craving/needing another inhale if that makes sense. My appetite is non existent. Also have an occasional heart flutter/ missed beat. I don’t use loads of gear and have been cruising on just test for the most part. Haven’t pinned in two weeks. I have had horrible sleep apnea in the past but it seems to have declined. I no longer gasp for air at night while asleep but still snore horribly. My question is this: Can I be honest with my doctor? I’m not going to lose any insurance because I don’t have any. I’m thinking be as honest as the day is long.
Any thought on my symptoms and the honesty part are greatly appreciated.

I was honest with a former doctor. He diagnosed me with testosterone abuse. That was a different insurance I had and doctor. Haven't heard about it since.
I've had vertigo issues since November of 2019. I've taken numerous different tests before a diagnoses of BPPV was given to me. Now I'm in vestibular therapy and my therapist doesnt even think now after 7 weeks that my diagnoses was accurate. I did several EKGs wore a holter monitor for a day and nothing vascular showed up. Personally, I feel it's a new anxiety symptom which would make sense. My ENT is now leaning towards allergies causing migraines causing vertigo.
I dont foresee any resolution anytime soon. But without insurance, how do you plan to proceed? All my tests, visits, labs, etc have to be somewhere in the 20-30k range by now.
Anyway, good luck. This shit fucking sucks brother.

Sorry to hear that. The docs treating you and then saying they were wrong is my fear also. Just a money grab in my opinion. I have heard of vertigo. My dizzy spells first started when I would lay down in bed to fast. Feels like someone is stirring my brain around in my skull. No nausea or pain. Just a really fucked up feeling. In regards to paying the bills? Shit I guess g4p? I’ve always been exit only so I should bring top dollar!

I would be completely honest with your doctor. As I've stated before why give your doctor a puzzle to solve and not give them all the pieces?
Sounds to me like there is some anxiety going on. The feeling of not getting enough air is a definite sign of panic/anxiety.
Do you ever feel like you're going to pass out?
How do you feel when you are at the gym?
Sucks to hear you going through all this my friend. I hope the doctor can give you some answers. Keep us updated.

That’s the thing. I can go for a walk, work or lift and all is well. Not out of breath or exhausted. Just randomly out of nowhere it feels like my last breath was used up before I finish my exhale. I did have an episode in the middle of the night when I woke up gasping for air. Took me a good while to catch my breath. To be honest on this occasion I was nauseous upon getting up and it stayed that way until it passed. I know my sleep apnea is having an effect on things. Just time to see a doctor. Just trying to do it smart. Thanks for your input.

Edit,,, Hope you and yours are well amigo.

Fuck tell them everything I saw the same guy for 20 years and they still can't get my pill list right. Your info won't follow especially if you pay out of pocket. Really don't want to sound like a nag but you should have a doc you can trust by now. Find one it makes things easier. Way I see it your either with me and going to tell me I'm an idiot or your not even going to to take me seriously without explaining why ( talking about docs) I've had a few drinks so I might be talking out my ass good luck

Sounds like a panic attack, also like a heart issue, trying to decide which will cause more stress. Yes see a doc. I sat straight up in bed one night, gasping for air. Scared me badly. Cardiologist, after an ER trip diagnosed me with a Baggy heart. Didn't require any treatment for that at all.
The anxiety for me does require treatment.

This isn’t a slag on the US but damn this post makes me thankful for free healthcare in Canada. One doc, universal file sharing, free everything, no matter how long it takes to solve. $20-$30k is insane.

Ok now that I got that off my chest I’ve had these feelings too. I’m mid 40’s. Kids. Business. Shit tons of stress. Family history of depression.

I was diagnosed with mild anxiety. Doc prescribed me an SSRI and sent me on my way. But I hated it. Did some research and settled on low dose psilocybin - yes magic mushrooms.

A party dose is 3-5 grams. For therapeutic purposes you take 80-100mg 2x/wk for 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.

It was a game changer for me. My wife can tell when I need it. And it works. Backed by trials now too. It’s emerging medicine. Plus it’s cheap and there are no sides.

Its definitely not free.
In my tax bracket I pay approximately 6k per year for Doctors to ignore me and to have to wait 8 months for an MRI

@Oldschool
Maybe hit an emergency room if you have solid insurance?
Although it could be minor, it could possibly be a heart related issue (Nit out of the question considering our AAS usage)
Better safe than sorry and if the ER thinks it is heart related, they will be able to get all sorts of heart testing dine quite quickly.

Two things I would specifically look towards
1. Vestibular migraines. These often go misdiagnosed but include virtigo as a symptom. These migraines are from bone out.

2. Cerebral vertigo, fairly common and physical therapy can help resolve

Have you tried the Epley manuever?

Yea, my ENT keeps going back to a migraine issue. Has me on 400mg of magnesium oxide. I did a CT scan months ago, now I have an MRI coming up soon. Recent bloods showed a very high sedimentation rate. He hasn't called me yet but that's the only thing I saw out of whack.

Hey @Oldschool
you ever had some severe concussions?

After my 8th, I started to get vertigo
It would come along suddenly
Dizziness
instant migraine
Tightness in my chest and difficulty breathing.

Almost fell over from the vertigo a few times

At first I thought it was a heart attack (I had a very minor one when I was training for a show in my early 20s) So I'm always on guard.

But Roger Rabbits suggestion just reminded me of the spells I used to get.

Something to maybe tell your Doctor?

I’ve had numerous concussions. I would say at the very least 10. More than likely 15 or so. This has been on my mind also. Pun intended.

But I never have migraines. I did have a spell a few years back after having a bad cough I couldn’t get rid of. I would cough so hard I would pass out for a brief few seconds. Once while driving! I’ve got an appointment set for Wednesday. Your er idea is something I was planning on doing too. Thanks to everyone for the help. It’s really appreciated.
