As per the title,

Do you guys pay for orders by sending directly from exchange or do you send them to a local wallet first? Very few vendors accept Monero which is the way to go from a privacy point of view.

With BTC i've sent straight from the exchange.
While i've had no repercussions as of yet, others have and it's probably safest to send to an outside wallet or two before sending it off to the source.

For the buyer in most cases there are no problems and risks, so you can pay directly from the exchanges. If you are worried or paranoid, you can withdraw directly to the custodial wallet, then pay the store.

You can also do a more cunning scheme, paying from your exchanger to the platform which exchanges the assets, so you will spend a little on commission, but the payer will be the platform. ;)

Xfer to your own wallet first at a minimum.
You don't have to do that. There are several ways to pay for an order without having an account. A card or payment system will be enough. In general, as I said. The specific buyer does not care in most cases. The chances of him being watched are about 0.

And your wallet, if you want, can easily be linked to you, because the blockchain will show that the main transfers were from the exchange, which you verified.
