Dieting Help Please

I've been training for years now, with multiple different cycles of AAS, but I really haven't gotten the results I've wanted. I'm looking for the hard, ripped look (not too concerned about mass). I've come to the conclusion that it's got to be my dieting techniques. Can someone please point me to a website or give me an example of thier own diet that has produced good fat loses while sparing little muscle. I've done my research, and there are so many diets out there. I really have no clue which to choose from. Please help. I'm about 195lbs with about 12% BF. I'd like to get around 9% if possible. I've got the will power, I'm just not for sure if I have the right dieting. Thanks.

how was your bf determined? Going from 12-9 w/o muscle loss should not be that hard for you at all. Have you read the sticky Bob, lets get this ball rolling or something like that? They go over a good diet that should work nicely for you

Energy Balance

You'll find two basic categories of responses: Those who control macronutrient profiles and those who count calories. We all advocate "adequate" protein. We don't all agree on what is "adequate" "too little" or "excessive." Macronutrient counters fall into the "balanced" diet types, low fat, and low carb. You asked what works for us: I eat a "healthy" diet based roughly on the food pyramid with a little more attention to healthy fats and eating a bit more protein. I take in 2-4 servings of fruit, 3-5 servings of veggies, 3 servings of meat, and 3 servings of milk. These cannot be cut as they provide the essential micronutrients. This portion of the diet is about 1200-1400 calories. The rest is grain. I control this portion of the diet to achieve a calorie level that gets me into a negative energy balance. For me that is usually 2,000 to 2,500 calories depending on how quickly I want to lose. I also cheat once a week to stoke the metabolic furnace. Add in cardio of choice to burn extra fat. for me, i walk 7 days a week 30 minutes a day. When cutting I may not add to this or I may add 20 minutes of running 3-4 days a week on top of the walking.

Well, if being lean and hard is your goal, I'm kind of confused as to the use of AAS. Especially given your stats, AAS are completely unnecessary. And, like Thick said, dropping 3% should be an absolute piece of cake.
