At no point did Iraq hit us, they SUPPOSEDLY had weapons that they COULD use to hit us, but they never did.

Kerry: Iraq Report Proves Saddam More Patient Than Bush

With today's release of the final report on Iraq's pre-war weapons of mass destruction (WMD) capabilities by chief U.S. weapons inspector Charles Duelfer, John Forbes Kerry said he has the tool he needs to "drive the final nail in the coffin of the Bush administration."

"The Duelfer report demonstrates that Saddam Hussein eagerly desired to produce more WMD, but was waiting for the U.N. to lift sanctions first," said Mr. Kerry, a professional Vietnam veteran who is also a U.S. Senator. "This proves beyond a doubt that Saddam is a more patient man than George W. Bush. While Mr. Bush rushed to war--the wrong war at the wrong time--Mr. Hussein calmly bided his time--making plans for WMD, illegally financing procurement schemes through the U.N.'s oil-for-food program, subverting sanctions and building stronger financial ties with our allies--China, Russia and France."

Mr. Kerry said America cannot afford an impatient president who "jumps the gun and lacks the statesmanship to let international processes reach their logical conclusions. Saddam Hussein has more understanding of the United Nations and global diplomatic strategy than Mr. Bush does."

Drawing a sharp contrast between himself and Mr. Bush, the Democrat presidential candidate said he is "patient like Saddam."

"The right time to invade Iraq was not when Saddam was still in the planning and procurement phase of his WMD program," Mr. Kerry said. "The right time to invade Iraq would have been after the U.N. sanctions were lifted, and Saddam really had these weapons of mass destruction. As president, that's the kind of war I would lead. That's the kind of war our real allies would support."

Trust me, Clinton damn near put us out of business....he did nothing to help my company and here is why. Clinton gave unprecedented power to the EPA. The EPA answers to no one!!! Congressman and Senators are afraid to question/challenge the EPA for fear of being labelled anti-environment.

But let me tell you one thing: NAFTA is not to be blamed for jobs going overseas (well maybe to a certain point)...Bush is not to be blamed for jobs going overseas.....it is the fucking EPA that is forcing jobs overseas becasue they make it impossible for small businesses to operate in this country!!!

And that my friends, is a fact. I deal with the EPA every fucking day and they don't give a shit what is in your water or air....they care about labels!!!!

We manufacture many products that require and EPA registration, which takes several years to get. Every so often (when Congress cuts the EPA's budget or diverts money to other EPA programs), the EPA will call for what amounts to a "re-certification" of our labels. I just went thru this last fall.

We were required to make 1 (ONE) change to our label. In the warning guidelines, the original label reads "...if in eye, wash with water for 15 minutes..". The NEW AND IMPROVED label reads "...if in eyes, wash with water...". Basically, eyes needed to be plural.

That alone costed us $32,000 to have our 3 labels re-approved for another cycle.

They never ask us for product samples..they never test our products..they never test the effluent material that contains our products...but our damn labels better be right.

How does that help small business????

Thank you Mr. Clinton!!!
See, like i said before YOU have a great reason to vote for bush... BUT, how many people in here are as fortunate as you to be part of a family, or self-owned business? I work for a large corporation... you think I see any of the money that gets invested in the higher ups? When Clinton was in office, I received 2 raises in 3 years, then i switched jobs. I received a raise 1st year i worked there, which was the 1st year GWB Jr was in office, and then not a dime since then... no one in my company has received a raise. I see your reasons for wanting Bush in office, but you also must respect mine

Did you deserve a raise???

This is another problem I see every single business year.....employees think they are entitled to a raise every year. But I hate to break it to you, the money just isn't there every single year to do that!!

About the time you were speaking of is right after 9/11. Do you know what happened to corporate insurance rates during that time period??? Ours increased 250%....now that is on the high side due to our business, but every company got hit like hell on insurance!!!! It is very likely your company had encountered some of the same problems, which inhibited their ability to give you and others a raise.

This is why I get so mad when I hear so many things from people (not you, just in general) about businesses who are making "billions of dollars" at the expense of the public. I'm sorry, but in 99% of the cases they are just wrong. I am on the other side of the argument and I see things "behind the scenes". I see all the little costs that no one else is aware of (i.e.: fuel costs for trucks, product raw material increases, insurance).

One of the companies I work closely with had annual sales of approximately $4.2 BILLION last year. Their profit margin was 3.3%!!! That is not a lot of margin to operate on....and I'd say that many other companies have similar bottom lines at the end of the year.

Yeah, i deserved a raise more than you know. I had spent 2 months creating a database in access, that moved the completion time of a high priority project from 2 years to 6 months. Everyone was kissing my ass around the office after I made this, but i wanted to see the money. I still haven't seen anything since then. I even explained to them about a week ago (since I start my new job tomorrow) how much it would have cost to contract out for someone to create what i did. Now i would be fine with this if NO one got raises around here. BUT, the CEO and CIO just got a 3%, and now a 5% increase in their salary, 2 raises in 3 years. They opened up 2 new positions, VP of Managed Care, and Impact Problem Solver. The company is making SO much more money now that they were when I started.. and not me, or my co-workers have seen a dime.
I know 9-11 had a lot to do with it, but I'm just going on what's happened to me and my family while different parties have been in office. I've never lived anywhere but NY, but I've heard it's different all over the country.

Well, you seem like a highly qualified individual with a good work ethic. If you do not feel appreciated, have you ever thought about applying for an SBA loan and starting your own firm....that companies like your present one would contract to do the same work you do now???

You'd make more money than you know what to do with. SBA loans are fairly easy to get and there is a ton of money out there to be had, you just gotta do the legwork to find it.

IMo this is like anything else, these guys wil do whatever it takes to win. There both cheating, breaking rules of some sort, its just a matter of who gets away with it and who has the connect to keep it hush hush.
Just like anything else!
