Dea Busts Powermedica

I would have to disagree with the Admin on this point--and same is only possible here because Meso is TRULY an open forum for dialogue about ideas.

Peewee is right--these steroid-dealing charlatan online "longevity clinics" set the cause of TRT back tremendously. I have been called a "steroid dealer" by several physicians in my own State, even though I have never prescribed anything but Androgel or test cyp, and only within physiological ranges. Their extreme ignorance of the true medicine involved did not hold them back one bit in condemming me. This is comparble to conventional medicine driving Dr. Joseph Lister out of business because he had the audicity to dare to suggest Surgeons should wash their hands, and change their feces and blood-soaked gowns between surgeries.

He gets back at them, of course, every time I use this analogy. AND every time someone uses Listerine.

Steroid users are not useful as guinea pigs. The conditions are not met for that to happen. The only situations that are put into play is when some previously deranged individual, now taking steroids, commits a heinous crime. Then Dr. Lin can swoop in and grab up another million dollars worth of tax payer dollars to sprwead his ignorance. I would relish the opportnity to face him on the stand--I would send his cottage cheese butt back to the rock he climbed out from under.

The Amin is exaclty right, however, when he says the so-called ancillary drugs of AAS came to TRT via steroids. Well, that certainly is the case with Yours Truly. I should say, that is why your humble servant knows how to use them--and is one of the very few doctors on earth who do.

We disagree on a few things, that is for sure.

Namely, you should know that SWALE's utmost concern is men's health. His approach to TRT follows from this.

While I consider health extremely important, I am most concerned with individual liberties, specifically those liberties involving the use of AAS for bodybuilding purposes. Individuals should be free to use AAS, even if it harms their own health; however, please note that I believe in a harm reduction approach when using AAS.

We each have our biases and our positions, but regardless of where you stand on the issue of AAS for bodybuilding, I think we can all benefit from SWALE's info.

I don't necessarily disagree with this statement. But this is NOT what Peewee stated. He referred to the "abuse of anabolics" as setting back TRT.

This is specifically what I disagreed with.

That's like saying some guy drives a high-performance sports car 200 mph, wrecks, and ends up breaking a few dozen bones.

Does anyone think that people's misuse/abuse of a "sports car" will set back the automobile industry several decades?

If the government decided to ban the use of sports cars in the U.S. as a result of such misuse/abuse, that would be another story.

Then again, it's not so much the individuals misue/abuse of the sports car that is the culprit for killing the sports car industry.

IT'S THE IRRATIONAL, HYSTERICAL REACTION BY THE GOVERNMENT TO THE ACT IN QUESTION.

Not the best analogy, but hopefully it makes my point.

let me retort, when i said abuse of anabolics. i should have been a little more clear. the idea of hiding behind prescribing of anabolics that have no use in TRUE HRT or to people who do not medically need the prescriptions is abuse of anabolics. i hope this clear things up a bit.

Yes. I don't agree with your terminology, but I understand your intent.

To me, you are describing an "abuse" of medical ethics. The criticism should be cast on the "medical professionals" involved and NOT the drugs themselves.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but please understand that the semantics of language have strong effects on how a situation is perceived and interpreted.

So, if you want to convey your concern about TRT, I think the focus should be on the professionals within the medical community who are misrepresenting TRT. These people harm TRT. The (ab)use of AAS is irrevelevant or at least secondary to this issue.

It's probably not so much your TRT practice that has resulted in your colleagues calling you a "steroid dealer." But more likely the fact that you dare associate with AAS-using bodybuilders and post frequently on "steroid board(s)". Most doctors don't want to have anything to do with bodybuilders. It's probably another reason why there are no other TRT physicians posting on steroid boards...

They are more concerned with their professional self-interest than reaching out to help those who could benefit from their expertise.

And I know a lot of people who frequent this site are benefitting. I've maintained this site for a very long time and it's not just AAS-using bodybuildiers/athletes who visit this site. Scores of middle-age and older men come here to find more information about androgens - primarily because there are few other places to learn about them and their own physicians are completely ignorant of TRT. Countless doctors have signed up and thanked me for the information provided on my site and through the AAS books I sell. Medical school failed to adequately educate them about androgens.

So, there is a clear target audience for your information on my site.
