Curious..how are you supposed to progress on leg widowmaker? Add weight each time or reps? I haven't seen this discussed in articles. Also does anyone still do dc?

Just do your straight sets in the 6-12 rep range, using proper technique and taking them to failure with adequate rest between sets. Progress by gradually adding reps and weight over time. You really don’t need all those ‘intensifier’ techniques, just consistent, progressive training will get you further

Certainly don’t hear the chatter about DC training much anymore. I remember when it POPPED and it was pretty much all that was being discussed in regards to training modalities.

In referencing the OG Cycle for Pennies article, it’s mentioned that a quad exercise is A straight set followed by a 20 rep widowmaker set. That’s IF legs are a weak point for the trainee per the original article. If a strong part, just a straight set with MAX poundage.

IMO I’d be trying to hit the widowmaker reps first cleanly then add more plates. If I’m getting stapled by weight and can’t complete the actual important part of the day(widowmaker) then I’ve failed at that movement. Good luck Mang and keep bangin’
