Daily protein from shakes?

Just curious how much protein everyone is getting from whey? I'm between 120g-180g from iso whey and 200g from Tilapia and 28g from eggs. How about you folks?

I do about 1/3 and at most, 1/2 my protein from powder. I remember reading you should get a minimum of 1/2 your daily macros from real food. How applicable that is, no idea.
 
Idk a body builder who doesn’t eat enough protein. But that much from purely whey is lacking a lot of micro nutrients You could get else where I would think.

I don’t prefer to drink my calories but I do make a shake I can sip on throughout the day at work which has 50-60 grams of whey in it.
 
Used to use alot of protein powder now I get most of it from real food. 80% of your protein from whey protein seems excessive. I think you'd enjoy and get better results consuming actual meals
I put 2 instead of 200 so I get a lot from food, I've never been into shakes, but the iso I have mixes great with almond milk so I'm doing 2 or 3 a day for extra boost.

Yeah I agree, I usually blend up a shake with 40g whey, cup of COR, 2 bananas, 1tbps almond butter and 4-6 cups of frozen spinach or broccoli. It's drinkable and it's a great way to get your greens in

I guess I get like 2gr of protein from shakes daily... I drink maybe one protein shake a month. Probably less.
I used to be 50/50 but proper meal prepping it's not hard to get 200g in without them. I think some people go way overboard on protein requirements tbh. Ain't nobody need 400-500 grams unless you're a giant.
 
I'm personally closer to 50/50 for my protein from shakes compared to protein from whole foods. That is however due to the fact that I work on the road and spend half the year in hotel rooms with little more than a mini fridge and the insta pot I pack. Followed by 12-14 hour days on track with no fridge, and only what can fit in a back pack. So for my circumstances I think a slightly higher than normal intake from shakes is somewhat reasonable. But if I was in an office or warehouse with a fridge while at home it'd be completely different. Blenders are for sure my friend during bulks.

Same as when I'm home, much much easier to fill my diet with whole foods.

If I'm on a heavy cycle and really trying to push limits, shakes become a necessity... But, I agree... +400gr is overboard for just about anyone. It is more useful to go high during a diet and has more scientific support in that regard.

Yah I'm dieting right now so I bumped my protein up a bit. Normally I stay at 1g per lb of body weight, that and I've FINALLY found a whey that don't bloat me up and make me overly gassy. The unflavored myprotein iso mixed with unsweetened vanilla almond milk digests very well for me
