I'm probably posting in the wrong place, if so, I apologize.
Anyway, I'm in my mid-40's and throughout my life I've pretty much done a powerlifting style workout (with some powerbuilding thrown in). I haven't truly paid attention to my physique, consequently I've gotten a bit of fat on me now. I've been doing 5/3/1 for a while and I'm on TRT.
I know that diet is what I need to focus on and I'm going to be doing that.
Here's my dilemma, I realize that when I start really honing in on my diet that I won't be able to lift as much as I'm accustomed to. I don't want to ego lift and injure myself and I'm afraid that if I do my standard workout that I'll push it and do just that.
All of this is to say that I'm looking for workout suggestions. As I said, I'm used to doing workouts around bench/squat/overhead press/deadlift. I'd like to maybe go away from that, maybe throw in some cardio, maybe some HIIT.
So, does anyone have any suggestions?
