creatine

About half an hour after consuming creatine I get a horrible stomache ache for about an hour and a half every time. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Yeah I have. I switched to a effervescent type of creatine which helped with the stomach distress, but I don't think it was as potent as good ole regular creatine. I switched back to a regular creatine after a while and had no probs so maybe it was just the brand I was using.

Dolfe, is your creatine just regular monohydrate or micronized or what? If its just regular, try a high-quality micronized creatine like that from John Scott's Nitro.

Someone else asked about creatine a couple weeks ago. I said that I really liked one of the products from Nitro. Not only did John Scott himself email me, but he was very helpful and provided a level of customer service I have never, ever had with a supplement company (and rarely experienced with a company of any kind). I highly recommend his product line. His website is www.jsnitro.com

It is just a regular momohydrate, I did use a micronized creatine about six years ago and the stomache ache was a lot more mild but seemed to grow worse over time. I have thought about taking it right before bed but would not be worth it if it hindered my sleep. I will try Johns Nitro, thanks.

Bob, have you tried his creatine? Do you recommend him for his customer service or for the quality of his products?(kind of a dumb question but I would like for you to elaborate more if you could, never heard of the brand before and just looking for reassurance I suppose)....than again it's only thirty bucks :)

Come you bastards, post, Vinny I'd atleast ecpect to see your bitch ass in here.

Tried any creatine malate products? Supposed to really ease the gastrointestinal stress. The creatine is bonded to a malic acid molecule instead of a water molecule as in monohydrate so it doesn't fuck with your water levels and eases alotta pain. PLUS . . . .no loading phase.

Never tried, who makes these products and have you experienced any sort of stomache problems? BTW loading is not needed.

Actually, if you notice all my recent posts they keep talking about the same shit . . .basically different ways of using creatine on a cutting cycle. Unfortunately, I haven't been getting many replies as to which products are best, so i haven't decided which to use. I still have one week before I need to cycle creatine back into my diet. The products I've been talking about though are all creatine malate products. Swole, which is prolly what I'll use; SAN V12 and SAN V12 turbo, and Satur8 seem to be the most popular creatine malate products. They taste great too and you can mix about 5g of creatine monohydrate in with each serving of anyone of those if you wanna continue to bulk, but if the monohydrate is giving you the stomach problems, then I'd just forget it. I still use it tho when I bulk cas it works great for me.

If you're interested, there's plenty of research out there on the net about how the creatine malate is better than the monohydrate and why it doesn't have as many side effects like water retention, bloating, stomachache, etc.
