Construction thread... Show off your work!

but when your ripping down 2.4m ply sheets u cant beat old fashioned power saws
Thanks, man. I'm just now making an effort to learn more about this stuff. I have a porter cable cordless, 18V, I believe. It definitely isn't ideal for big jobs. How important is it to replace the factory blade with a higher quality blade? Does it make a big difference?

to be honest im not someone who gets into all this after market blades etc, the blade that comes with it will be fine and once you feel its not cutting as effortless as it first was buy a new one. im a pretty standard fella tho lol

if you plan on using cordless all the time make sure u have atleast 6 batteries on hand, i found that constant use on the charger and then straight onto a saw for a high work load wears them out quicker.

lol u can have my backache and carpal tunnel if u like lol

in my opinion it doesnt matter what type of work you do, if you get up everyday and provide for your family thats what i define as a man

True story, that’s a lot of concrete to be pumping. Great work. The finishers did an excellent job.

dug up my front lawn the other day, went to form up my new garden path when i noticed there was a 50mm dip in the footpath i would be joining up to.. i couldnt get it out of my head.. so i came

Nice
Throw the concrete dildo to her, get it nice and deep under the sidewalk and you're laughing.

You're like me, forming a family members footing right now, drawings call for 16×8 no bar.
I'm running 24x12 with 2 rows of half inch bar just for fun.

Fuck engineers, no bar on step footings?
Not on my watch

EDIT:

I miss this shit, I'm a carpenter by trade (15 years)
But now I'm a Construction manager and the Senior site super.
I have a seriously hard time not jumping in and swinging hammer, especially on formwork.

haha i like your style, i agree with you 100%. im not a fan of concrete with no steel in it.. especially on soft ground
