I'm planning on joing my local ibew. electricians from the ibew in Silicon Valley make $60-70 an hours and they do lost of overtime. I met some guys who were pulling 150k a year. I could've join the ibew apprenticeship program several years back but I was too lazy for doing construction work.

Your in silicon valley? I live in the North Bay, the trades are where it is at great money.

Yeah I live in silicon valley. Rent can be quiet expensive but you can make lots of money in the trade considering you work for the union.

Supper fun day yesterday and today. The tin benders hung a couple giant ducts down the corridor of this school. I have to insulate above them and wire it in. Finally out of the supper fucked up area. Probably another 2 days and .on to the next one. Loving the hours on this job hopefully the next one I can start at 5

Started another business with a friend doing trim work,crown,door and window frames, custom shelving and closets. This is our first job. Framed the window and added a sill.. Owner was ecstatic about it and now wants us to do another 200 units they own. Sorry the pictures suck..

New job, 7 o clock start time an hour and a half from home! I didn't get home until damn near 6 o clock last night. Got to the job early today and hit a gym a couple blocks away. Feeling pretty good, tomorrow is going to suck ass. Felt like pulling a Micheal Douglas in that movie falling down on the way home yesterday.

Oh yeah it can happen in a heartbeat, luckily nothing more than a few minor cuts and scrapes here and there so far, aiming to keep it that way haha.

I'm working the warriors new stadium this week. 12 days straight, tens Monday through Friday and 8 Saturday and Sunday. No pictures on this job either today is day seven, I am beat it is going to be a long week

Hey I'm looking for some real advice. I love bodybuilding forums and I think maybe some people can relate.
I'm 28, been addicted to heroin and in and out of prison my whole adult life. I was always good with computers and am currently in school for computer science. It's already getting late in the game though and I don't want to sell myself short but I've been seriously considering just learning a trade. I've been talking with a sweet girl who works and after years of heroin and prison I just want a stupid little family and ok job I don't hate. I don't need anything more.
I have hella drug felonies which makes IT seem kind of stupid and far fetched. I live in Mid Michigan, you guys find you have easy energy to work out doing construction? Getting up early doesn't bother me like it used to so I've seriously began considering it. A lot of my big homies from jail/prison are doing good in life with unions.
