If you think I am crazy or paranoid it's fine to say so,but I think the US Goverment is out to own us.
I think they have long term agenda that includes taking the general populations rights away.They would love to render us powerless,leaving only elite very rich and extreme poor with no middle class.The goverment tells our media yesterday we are now "officially" in a recession dating back to last december..the stock market immediatly crashes(again)..they know this will happen..so why in the hell report it.Why not come out and say"we are in tough times but will pull through,we are going to be ok"..When we are in the gym do we feed our lifting partner full of negative energy or do we encourage and puff them up ???Gun control..the goverment will start by putting ammunition manufacturers out of buss,by raising taxes on them and the consumer,then when the ammo is gone they come for the guns.They want to own banks,mortgage companies,insurance ,auto,airlines,health care,oil/gas industry....repubs,dems are in this together.All comments welcome......

in celebration of the Obama victory I purchased a 2 45 autos, Taurus 1911 and a glock model 21.I agree with this thread, sheep are easy to control. The people of this country are voting away their rights ever so slowly.Everyone seems to want the govt to feed them, pay their bills, pay for college, meds, etc....does anyone take responsibility for anything.

Obama has vowed to outlaw private ownership of guns one of his goals.......... he has voted for this idea of
wiping out the Second Amendment rights in his home state on multiple occasions. IT REALLY CAN HAPPEN HERE IF WE ARE NOT ACTIVE AGAINST IT.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about
20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated..

Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up
and exterminated

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million

law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300
percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the
criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed
robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12
months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the
ELDERLY. Aust ralian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety
has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in
successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience
and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians
disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes,
gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of
this history lesson..

Why not let the free market system fix itself ???let the US auto makers build a better product for less money ???Give them control to not have to use unionized labor, Bam ...fixed.I just bought the wife a new car,I went with the Mazda because of the GREAT fuel mileage,she get's 29 in the city and 32 on the highway.

Once again Dennis, I agree. The "big three" auto bailout is utter bullshit and pisses me off to no end. This bailout wont do a damn thing to help OUR economy. All its going to do is pad the pockets of these selfish bastards. The smaller auto makers are making adjustments and unveiling new cars for 2009. All the big three are doing is crying poverty and looking for a handout. Thats the U.S. Govgetting us in more of a mess than we're already in, but then again, its what they do best. Since the 1970s, Detroit’s Big Three auto makers have failed to keep up in the competitive auto industry. Now they are begging the federal government for a bailout to the tune of $75 billion! Ten years ago the Big Three posted a combined profit of over $16 billion dollars. But management failed to wisely invest these profits. The Big Three are heavily weighed down by irresponsible labor costs. The problem in the auto industry is caused by unrealistic union contracts written decades ago. These contracts did not give the industry the flexibility it needed to respond to market changes and burdened the industry with legacy costs. General Motors is leading the call for the $75 billion taxpayer bailout, speeding up the $25 billion loan program to develop fuel-efficient vehicles, $25 billion in general support to keep the companies operating, and $25 billion to bailout promises to union benefits. It is time to draw the line in the sand when it comes to federal bailouts.

Where does this appearant movement come from then? The modern feminist movement that has been adopted by American liberals, who gather under the Democratic party.
What you are seeing is the hedonistic philosophy that exchanges freedom and independance for the comfort and ability to rot within ones own mind. This comes about through belief the the purpose of life is happiness, and that happiness is pleasure. As Benjamin Franklin said, "Those that would exchange freedom for security, deserve neither."

We are not unique, every great empire without a goal has fallen from this exact same causal chain...

Veteran investor Jim Rogers warns that the policies of central banks and politicians are turning what would have been a recession into a new great depression, and that Barack Obama’s taxation agenda will only make the problem much worse.

Speaking to Bloomberg News, Rogers said that the crisis would at least be the worst since the second world war and that “it could well be” as bad as the great depression.

“1929 was the stock market bubble which popped, we were going into a recession and then the politicians around the world starting making horrendous mistakes which turned it into a depression, it would have been just a normal recession otherwise but the American politicians and the European politicians - everyone got in on the act and that seems to be happening this time too,” said Rogers.

Rogers labeled it “unfathomable” what central banks were doing and totally at odds with the lessons of history, adding that President elect Barack Obama’s intention to impose protectionism and taxation of capital would fuel a depression.

Sorry Dennis...been out working, paying taxes for the dead beats in this country. I agree also with your opening post. The Patriot Act does in fact make it illegal for us to even stockpile food and supplies! Any gun other than a black powder is considered an assault weapon...need I go on. Not to mention the several Executive Orders that permit the government to mandate vaccinations. I am scared for my children, what will the world be for them? I pray that the Rapture takes us soon. We have only ourselves and fellow American to blame. Our lack of participation has no doubt brought us to this point. I myself am guilty! No more business as usual, we must all get involved! No more making excuses for the people we elect. If they dont do their job...we boot them out of power. We must set an example, and soon! Politicians need to understand that we will not tolerate this behavior anymore.
