Civil War in the Republican Party

Liberals are god damn idiots. Enough said.
I could have sworn that I and the rest of the moderators made the following point clear:

"The board definitely does not need the type of discussion that ends in "you're a asshole", "you're a retard", etc."

We'll only repeat it so many times.

Well, I am a conservative, and I dont like GWB much either.

I believe he has no respect for liberties in this country, and does not understand that he role as president falls within the context of Constitutional authority.

I think the Patriot Act is one of the worst pieces of legislation I have seen in my short lifetime. 3 out of the 4 clauses that went to the Supreme Court were overruled as unconstutional.

I think GWB's platform is very weak. He is running on terrorism, and all over his other plans seem ill-planned or at very least vague (perhaps due to over-emphasis on security in this election)

I did not vote for Bush, I voted libertarian.

There are some conservatives who still believe "small government" means staying out of people's lives, whether it be with taxes, drug-policy, or security.

Thank you!!!

Nice to know that not every conservative is a GWB sycophant!

Well, I'm not a GWB sycophant by any means. I'd much rather have McCain. But, I feel much more comfortable with Bush than I do Kerry.

Sure, I could vote for Badnarik....but what is that really saying?? It would be a protest vote, and IMO this is not the time to be voting to protest the viable candidates.

I disagree completely. What better way to show the Republican Party that we feel it is straying from its conservative roots than to cost the party the entire election?

If we keep putting them into office, they will never change.

"Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil."

I agree with taht to a certain point....but I think a Kerry administration would be much worse at this time.

Plus, I don't agree with Badnarik on immigration, border laws, or the carrying of photo ID.

In other words, I don't think there is a "good" candidate in the whole bunch. But, at this point in time, I just can't bring myself to "help" put Kerry in office. And there is a whole list of reasons why.
