Hello,

Today I have noticed a little headache, also I had a drink (i am on vacations) and alcohol kicked harder.

I have read that the headache goes away after a week or so of continous use, as the body gets used to it, is that true? Experiences?

Try 2.5 mg, maybe you are a bit sensitive to it. Headache and stuffy nose usually happens when you do too much

Try taking your dose with 6oz of grapefruit juice. I have had infrequent head aches from time to time as well, its definitely a common side effect. Could have something to do with blood pressure changes.

The headache is induced by increased blood flow to the sinuses and scalp muscles. The body compensates for this over the course of a few weeks and the headache will go away.

Cialis has a number of positive long term health effects, including protecting the heart and brain. Sides, mild headaches, stuffy nose, and minor backache are gone after the first month of use in nearly every case.

It's a really good drug with no real downside for the overwhelming majority of men.

So I see they find an association between higher rates of skin cancer and all PDE-5 inhibitors, when they look at the demographic of users gonna back decades, but not confirmed connection.

Personally my first thought was this, that guys using these meds are more
likely to be partying in the sun more
than living in their mom's basement:

When I first started tadalafil at 2.5mg daily I felt fucking awful. Headaches, total inability to breathe through my nose, and lightheadedness.

30 months later and I’m now taking 20mg daily and it doesn’t give me any side effects at all. I take it with a glass of grapefruit juice pre workout to absorb more of it, and I still don’t get any side effects.

It took about 2 years of taking it before all sides went away. So in my experience, if you tough it out long enough you’ll be fine.

I have. I assume you may be addressing the fear some express about "saving it until it's needed later" because otherwise it may stop working. That's not a thing and no need to worry. Using it for years *might* mask slowly developing ED so if you come off 5 years later your junk may not work as well as it did before, but that's not the med. In fact, the only negative effect docs are warned regarding long term use is ED is often used an indicator of developing vascular disease, and a good time to check cholesterol and the heart, and Cialis can mask that, delaying getting checked out. I don't think many docs do much more than treat the ED, and you should be monitoring that stuff anyway.

"Tolerance" only develops to the side effects caused by increased blood flow.

This is because with a steady blood concentration of tadalafil over a few weeks, small blood vessels respond to excess dilation and "rebalance" by constricting, alleviating the nasal congestion, sinus headache, water retention, and slight back ache that can be induced by increased blood flow. Most of these sides are rare and if they occur are gone after a couple of weeks daily use.

(the constriction "blood pressure rebalancing" happens to a much lesser degree in the penis and large blood vessels, so it may seem slightly less effective at the starter dose over time, but a bump to slightly higher dose after you get accustomed to it returns it to full effectiveness without reintroducing side effects, and no further need for dose increase. Similar to blood pressure meds.)

I’ve found it does lose efficacy with repeated dosing. And it’s not my erections getting worse over time, as if I drop the tadalafil my erections are better now than they used to be.

There are studies showing it can be used to treat priapism, on the basis that the body compensates in some way.

Preventing priapism is an interesting effect, preventing erections is the opposite of what you'd expect.

Digging into it. some diseases, like sickle cell anemia, cause excess production of PDE5, in simple terms, the enzyme that's released to relieve erections. The PDE5 receptors become desensitized to PDE5 from constant exposure, so it no longer works, and priapism occurs.

It looks like daily treatment with either Viagra and Cialis work for this problem, since as PDE5 inhibitors (preventing the end of erections), they protect the receptors from overexposure and keep them sensitive so they work normally.

I also came across this meta analysis, which I think carry a lot of weight as they include numerous studies, compensating for any "flawed" studies that provide the wrong result.

Pde5is are also used post prostatectomy to help keep penile tissues healthy, and improve erectile function in the long term.

It could be that daily tadalafil is “more effective” than on demand, by improving penile health and by allowing spontaneous sex, rather than due to total pde5 inhibition during sex.

I’ve certainly found that my dick works better when I have sex when I want to, rather than by having scheduled sex after a dosage.
