Chronic Low ferritin. Need advice from those who have fixed low ferritin.

my HCT is 50.1, my hemoglobin is 16.3, my RBC is 7.44 im half way through my cycle of 300 test and 350 masteron prop a week pinning everyday. My ferritin is low 19.4 si giving blood seems like a bad option am i ok with these numbers aslong as they hold??

Update- They do not carry it. And won’t source & ship.

I’ll probably reach out to similar vendors see if they carry any forms of injectable iron.
Not sure if you’re only wanting the iron types Photon mentioned, but linking the one I used for infusions. It worked well, and brand INFeD is the human use one. There are instructions for IM and dose calculation on its website. Haven’t ordered from this site, just pulled the first one that came up.

Dont donate, no need of donating blood at all.
You’d crash your ferritin.

Oh that's the piggy iron
Piggy rocks

If oral iron supplementation & vitamin C is in your protocol, look up apolactoferrin to increase bioavailability of non-heme iron

There are a few products on amazon, one by Jarrow that specifies apolactoferrin, not just lactoferrin

I made myself anemic by doing two power red donations 4 months apart last year, while on GLP1s, and finally fixed it with high-dose non-heme iron supplementation. Next step would have been to try a heme iron supplement (ex. proferrin) or an injectable version, but thankfully neither of those were necessary.

I took 4 of these per day for a total of 108 mg/d of elemental iron from iron bisglycinate: https://www.vitacost.com/now-iron-complex

Been MIA. Apologies.

Was running the sub Q experiment, and I can definitely say it’s not working great for me.
Been exhausted, brain fogged, no libido, and honestly some terrible bout of depression for the last 3 weeks. No gym either.
Had to take 70mg cyp twice a week to sorta get out of it. (Not e2 related)

My guess. Lower test level isn’t great for me & my ferritin is still low.

I’ve chatted with a few people. Looking like doing a self iron infusion is the way to go.

The cons of IM injection iron. Is far too great. I’d rather not risk tissue damage & an abscess.

So I’ll be ordering from indiamart, getting ferric carboxymaltose. Everything else is being sourced by a medic buddy or myself.
500mg IV infusion. Pull labs 6-8 weeks later at a normal TRT dose. Basically a whole new experiment and figuring out what does what.

Just need to get back in the gym and normal in life. Tired of being a little bitch lol
I’ll document everything as per usual.

Funny, when ever I need things. In this case, IV supplies. My business, We work with a lot of random clients and companies. Some how always comes my way.
Homeowner just was tossing sealed IV supplies. Got extensions and lines as well.

One step closer to IRON IV infusion lol

An order with a source on indiamart has been made.

Marshall healthcare

5 vials of ferric carboxymaltose & 200 tabs of something - $130 total. Beat out many other sources on price.

well see how it goes.
Full Update to come when products arrive.

What brand did you get? Lupin?

I have also acquired a CPAP thru my job.
Wild how that happened. IV supplies and now a CPAP.

Long term CBC correction from proper sleep is the next experiment/data im tracking.

As for sleep apnea can raise HCT/HGB. Which has been a driving factor for my iron demand

Got back my labs

I took 2 weeks off the gym and my labs finally improved.

Pretty huge jump, surprisingly, that's 4 pts on hct lmao.
Highest HCT i've seen in awhile now.

I've been on 3x100mg of oral EPO for the past 4 weeks. Based off my prev labs, values still fell, so i pulled EPO labwork just to make sure its not bunk.

Values only started increasing after a 2 weeks break.
Planning to double the dose and pull labs again in 2 weeks.

At this point I'm attributing it to low grade PIP caused by TNE. Most of us don't consider something like 1/10 or 2/10 as PIP but i guess pinning it daily does cause issues.
