Chronic Low ferritin. Need advice from those who have fixed low ferritin.

@Photon
Also how was the IM pain/pip with this iron. I’ve read/heard IM iron can hurt like a bitch.

Bad pip which peaked roughly 6 hours later but went away after 12 hours or so.

I'm not a good example tho, I did 3ml of thick carnitine+glut lol. 3ml of that alone leaves a lump which takes hours to clear and pips. I don't think you'll get much pip with just bac honestly.

I guess I’ll find out eventually!

1 more shot to go.
Are you following any particular plan? Or protocol? Or whatever.

I haven’t even looked into any of that. Or how the dosing works/schedule for iron IM.
So my bad if that’s a dumb question.

Honestly getting real tired of this low level TRT I’m doing o_O

Whatever lol

I took a look at the IV infusions that people were getting.
It's quite common to see people get 500mg-1g of iron in 1 infusion (obviously heavily diluted). I'm planning to do 3 shots of 200mg then wait 4 weeks and pull labs. Total of 600mg, which is still lesser than what most people get in 1 infusion.

Was initially planning to do 1 shot a week but i want this resolved before thanksgiving so I'm gonna do it every 3-4d instead. Either way I've only got 1 shot left.

IV Doses.

After a shot do you get any fatigue or flu-like symptoms?

My ferritin adventures are staying in this thread.

About to hit up a tractor supply farm store. To grab some piggy iron today or tomorrow. I drive by it for work everyday. Or Amazon it.
And then I gotta grab some stuff to avoid staining with the IM injection.

I have a full label panel again here this week. Pulling iron and ferritin etc. It’s been a few weeks of very low TRT. Tbh I don’t track the time. But I’m also heavily noticing the lower T.
Little pudgy, low libido, lack of energy/drive.
But I also haven’t been in the gym since doing this low dose cuz of that.

Be interesting to see where my ferritin sits with less stress on RBC production etc.

I did my 3rd shot last week, 300mg of piggy iron. Horrendous pip lmao. Will pull labs in maybe 4 to 6 weeks.

Shot 1

Shot 2

Last shot (3)
Its the same as above, i just used more iron and less of the other compounds

Oh god. I’m scared now. Lmao.
I might just do 100mg split thru the week or 100mg a week for weeks?
Or should I also follow a higher dose regime since infusions are usually higher one time doses?

I’ll look it up as well. Lmao

Higher dose seems to gives more PIP.
The 3rd shot i did was horrendous lol.

For iron dextran you can get 1g via infusion in a go.
I'd be comfortable doing it 200mg twice a week for 2 weeks imo.

Looks like the 0.5% of phenol might be adding to the pip from the iron potentially.

“Some people experience localized irritation or burning at the injection site — this is sometimes due to the phenol preservative”

So at a higher dose that could be why. Crazy stuff.

Oh yes it does have phenol, i didn't notice.
Phenol is used in insulin vials instead of b.a but yea, one doesn't inject mls of insulin lol

My gleptoforte 200 arrives tomorrow. Was around $30 with shipping, still cheaper than a doctors visit and the iron infusion.

Going to try just a small dose when I take it make sure I’m not allergic to it.

Pulling full labs tomorrow am fasted.
My guess, my ferritin is still in the drain. I still get heart palpitations/flutters under strenuous activity. And all the low ferritin symptoms.
Exhausted, brain fog, gassed out and weak easily etc….
Even with no gym since oct 22nd and lower TRT dose.

Fresh labs. Only things abnormal are listed.
Hmm not really sure what’s going on here CBC wise. Maybe very dehydrated. I have been lacking on my water

Guess the lack of Test cyp allowed my Ferritin to rise. Good to see that.
But still on the lower side.

I’m taking no supplements other than glutamine, multi vitamin (iron free) and a sleep aid.

Roughly 125mg test cyp a week on these labs.

Won’t be taking any iron till CBC levels back down.

Looks like you may have fixed it.
Pull hsCRP too. If it's elevated then ferritin will be overstated.
