Carbs?? what kinda are best?

i just had a few questions on what kinda good carbs i should take.. is it ok to eat a potato for dinner instead of brown rice? what other options are there for carbs besides potatos oatmeal and rice?
 
Good carbs are subjective to what your goal is. Sometimes you need fast acting carbs other times you want them slower.

Sweet Potato (Yams), Steel Cut Oats, Whole-Multi Grain Bread (darker the better), brown rice are all fine. You may want to look into a supplement if you want something faster acting post workout, or just consume those foods up there with enough time to be available before/after your workouts. Someone else may be able to help you out more with a good higher GI carb.
 
any carb not processed and one that won't cause your insulin levels to spike through the roof would be good.
