Captains of Crush hand gripper

I’ve always struggled with these. My grip never kept up with the rest. At times I would use hooks so I wouldn’t be held back, but now I prefer to actively strengthen my grip. Maybe I should throw in some suitcase holds too. I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience
Same here. My hands are on the small side so that is a part of my issue. Good deadlifters tend to have long fingers to lock in their grip. If i have less square inches of surface area then others i need to develop more strength pers square inch just to hold the same weight. I used straps for my heavies lifts but not everything. Tons of wrist curls, used the safety bars from the squat rack to put 100 pound plates on.and and reverse curls. Built a fair amount of mass but didn't and still don't have great grip strength.
It is about progress as we tend to never get to where we want to be i find.

Anecdote time:

I've got a grip dynamometer and CoC 1.5, 2, and 2.5 grippers in my office. It's a great ice breaker.

I think one or two people have closed the 1.5 and nobody else has done the 2. The 2.5 might as well not exist.

Not many guys can squeeze over 130 pounds on the tester. Only 3 people have recorded over 150 pounds so far.
