I recently switched to midnight shift and I have lost some motivation to stay on top of my food prep....
Has anybody tried the pre-cooked meals ?
If so what are some good websites

This is not a gay pun.....
But you could try lean cuisine.
They have some chicken cheddar and broccoli ones and Salisbury steak.

I guess those are low carb... low cal. Depends on your goals. If you wanna get big you would be best off meal prepping.

My buddy did a meal service company when he was doing the paleo diet. You can expect to spend some money on these services.

My girl tried it for a few weeks. They deliver all your meals once a week. The meals were actually really good, but it got pricy. It comes out to about $10 a meal. So if your eating a few a day it adds up.

Ouch that's pretty steep

Unless you have a lot $ i would make my own food.
I agree. Prepped meals are good to go if you are really low on time, but the downside is that if it is going to be an everyday thing, it'll cost you a fortune to even eat a week's worth. I would say just cook a really big batch in one day and put it in the freezer.

Sounds like something I'd consider. But seems it would throw my macros off. Also can get pricey as others mentioned.

I use tupperware boxes. Great if you are on the run. What about chicken, beef, tuna or pork wreaps in foil or gladpack ?

Just watch the sodium in those precooked ready to heat meals. I'm astounded by the amount of sodium in Lean Cuisine (sorry @Leancuisine not a jab at you brother) so I've decided to pre-cook and freeze my own meals. Tastes better knowing what I put in 'em :)

No need to refreeze your food man.
Frozen food sucks!!!
My protein shakes are 800 cals a pop portable and none of that fake ass gainer shit either
Make a pot of brown rice it will keep for five days or so also boil a pot of beans or lentils. So there ready to go.
Same goes for your protein make enough to last 3-4 days and repeat.
Keep a Tupperware container of mashed potatoes or sweet potatoes in the fridge ready to go. Also keep veggies around that are quick to prepare/steam like broccoli or asparagus.
I always have almonds, peanuts or shelled pumpkin seeds to snack on they are high in protein and portable.
Oh then there are sandwiches, lunch meat or even Pbj.
Use your imagination and stop being lazy. I work 65 hours a week between two jobs and this is how I do and I'm a vegan. Being an omnivore is to easy!!

I do all my food prep on the weekend. I don't freeze it. Package it into lunch boxes for lunch. And the rest into larger containers for dinner. I have my diet calculated so I make exactly as much as I need for the week. No need to freeze.

How can you make gains as a vegan? (cue up Vegan Gains jokes :D )

You could just try sourcing a weekly prep cook. We have lots of people in my area that do this on the side for like $45 + you buy the food. Just an idea. I have done this and know people who do this every week and couldn't be happier. That is if your forced between bad to not good diet and buying super expensive meals (the metaphorical nutrition rock and a hard place if you will ) It's a great alternative.
