Bloodwork in canada teletest.

I am planing to bloodwork before my cycle, i live in Ontario, not able to travel to United States for this purpose (I wish i could). I saw a PED harm reduction package in teletest website for 79 CAD, is that price just for the requisition for the blood work or does that include the actual blood work as well? can you guys please share your experiences with teletest, or if you have any other suggestions other that teletest it would be really appreciated, thanks in advance guys

I’ve used Teletest a few times now and I believe they are your best bet in Ontario. I mention them in a thread where I posted my bloodwork: “Running Ace Pharma” it’s near top of Serum blood testing threads right now.

Their website is easy to book a consultation and get your bloodwork done relatively fast. You just need to fill out a bunch of questions and then do an online intake with their doctor. The online appointments are no longer than 10mins and are usually much quicker. Obviously not as extensive as the bloodwork you can get in the states, but for Canada it’s pretty good and the bare minimum at least.

The $79 is for the doctor’s time and to use their service. They charge all/majority of the bloodwork through OHIP depending on what you select to get done. So basically things like lipids, CBC, ALT, Total Test ect. are covered by OHIP and then you might have to pay a bit extra at the lab when you go to get bloodwork for things like Free test, Estrogen and SHBG(or Cystatin C, it’s only covered by OHIP once a year). You can decline these if you don’t want to pay for them, but you definitely should get them tested. They don’t cost near as much as what these private labs online charge, only what the lab you get the blood work done at actually charges. In southern Ontario I only had to pay for SHBG and It was $30 last time at Dynacare, but my test before that SHBG was $65 at LifeLabs. So price changes depending on the labs price. If you have an insurance plan you can get the money back for these tests through them. Still way cheaper than any of these private labs online.

If you have a family doctor they won’t send them any of this so they’re discreet. Once the results come in you’ll be able to view your bloodwork through your Teletest account or directly from the labs website if available(LifeLabs). They’ll be a quick follow up online appointment with the doctor where he basically just says PED’s can be harmful and you’re welcome to use their service again. Or if something is out of range they’ll give you recommendations on how to bring it back into range. That’s pretty much it.
