Blood work feedback

Hey guys,

Just looking for quick feedback. 41 y/o, 6'1", 223 lbs.

8 weeks ago (end of August), I finished an 8 week run of test prop, mast ace and tren ace @ 120 mg/week for each compound and 50 mg/day of anavar. I am still running test cyp when blood work was drawn.

Only a few abnormal numbers. I know the compounds I was taking tank most of these numbers, but i just wanted to get your thoughts.

Alkaline Phospate was 45 (47-123 normal)
ALT was 58 (0-44 normal)
HDL was 39 (>39 normal)
LDL was 132 (0-99 normal)
RBC was 5.97 (4.14-5.8 normal)
HCT was 55.2 (37.5-51 normal)

I should probably make a donation. My only concern is that they will turn me away due to BP being elevated (138/80). Any suggestions to improve my markers?

From my understanding donating blood doesn't reduce the risks associated with thicker blood and will just deplete your iron.

Just come off or lower the dose until it drops. Do you have sleep apnea or smoke cigarettes?

How old are you?

Any idea what your baseline LDL is?

Also baseline BP if you know.

Also, since you’re trying to protect your long term health, next time get HS-CRP as well.

Thank you for that.

I will lower my levels. The night before my physical/blood work, my wife noted I was snoring like a seal. I brought this up to my PCP and he ordered an at home sleep study. I should have that within the next two weeks.

Thanks Ghoul. I'm 41 and just want to make sure I'm doing this for the long run. No idea about the baseline numbers. I appreciate the advice for next time. Thank you for that.

Sleep apnea is most likely the cause. Drop the Anavar. Orals are pretty much useless, if you want more gains just up the testosterone when you get your HCT down.

Why aren't you taking a blood pressure medication?

Odds are that LDL isn’t too much higher than your baseline.

The two things proven beyond any reasonable doubt to extend life and healthspan, is bringing your BP, and LDL into ideal range. Unless you have other complications, that can he achieved with a couple of maintainance meds, which, if chosen carefully, can accomplish that without side effects. At 41, this is the inflection point where waiting longer becomes costlier and you’ll irretrievably lose the ability to reduce a portion of your cardiovascular risk.

Don’t wait for lazy PCPs and slow moving institutional guidelines to offer what’s best for your long term health. That’s not their priority. The target numbers of what’s best for your health are well established and crystal clear, but the system is slow to change and payers reluctant to cough up $1 worth of generic meds even if they were certain it’d add a month of disability free life. (“he’ll be on Medicare by then”).

I am. Losartan. I have been on it since my early 20s. As the doctor said, I can thank my parents for passing that down. Doctor thinks the sleep apnea is keeping it elevated. Even with previous use, it's never been like that.

Thanks Ghoul. I'm currently on Losartan but I've seen you recommended Tel/aml concoction. Been thinking of asking him to change my medication. I should have had that conversation.
