Neither party is any good. The democrats have gone batshit crazy with identity politics instead of attacking issues head on, they get bogged down in race issues. Republicans are obsessed with morality, telling you what you will and won't do with your body and these motherfuckers always love to forcefully inject God into everything, even though I thought we had a intellectual revolution over the past 100 years in philosophy that sort of put an end to that bullshit.
Both parties have created and supported a police state.
What we are seeing today with those attacking this police state by torching police stations, court houses are people that are fed up with this drastic over reach of power, qualified immunity, endless legislation to outlaw everything to stick as many people in prison as possible. Allowing cops to beat the fuck out of people, kill them if they want over a little bag of drugs. It all traces back to the war on drugs and the drastic increase in policing/prison to support this mission.
When an orange obese tool comes along with "law and order", we have to wonder why. We've got fucktons of laws, most states have 10,000 pages of criminal code, there's virtually nothing that hasn't been criminalized if you live in a city with a population beyond say 1,000. Rural communities with small populations seem to be able to get away with a lot of shit, they have very little policing. I'm finding this out with a recent rental property I purchased out in the middle of nowhere, they have a sheriff that drives through in the morning and then he's gone the rest of the day, there's nobody out here, nobody is watching anything. This is freedom. It's got me thinking that I want to live in a place where there's not even a sheriff stopping by. When you're no longer policed, when you no longer see those fuckers driving down the street, it's like all our cloudy days become sunny.
People don't want "law and order", they want to be left alone to live their lives, if they want to drive down the street with baggies of whatever drug and not bother anyone then they should. The 4th amendment should be absolute, no one should be allowed to search your property and that includes your vehicle and person. No one should be allowed to touch you or your property, there should be no warrants that allow this search either. Law enforcement needs to be forced to stay at their stations until called for help and even then it's extremely limited what they can do.
Ron Paul said it best......everyone should be armed except the police.
So fuck the republicans and democrats, if you want to rally behind someone and be a member of meso engaged in felonies, at least rally behind the Libertarians they are extremely consistent when it comes to views against the police state, search and seizure, war on drugs, self ownership. Don't vote for your enemy just because he's an orange fat fuck with a loud clueless mouth.
