Does. Anyone put 5-6 scoops in a gallon and drink 1,5 galons a day?? I find it helps alot

I mainly do it cuz plain water is boring. I dont mind paying for bcaas because imo they help my recovery..

Could be because im diabetic too and i am on lantus 24h insulin 25iu a day each moring and high carbs day i do 8iu epidra morning and pre workout the afternoon!!

Whays everyone opinion on this? I like xtend!

You may be experiencing a placebo.

Then again, maybe not.

When i went off bcaas, I experienced no difference in mucle gain, endurance, recomp etc. So for me, they did nothing.

The reason i say this is because some people will benefit from them; maybe you are one of them.

For me I only use than during my workout with glutamine to hold me through the cardio after my workout. Than I eat when I get home. I can definitely tell the difference
15g bcaa
5g glutamine during

After workout 5glutamine with my shake
And my oats

Kinda agree. Forgot to mention my calories are pretty low right now and all natural atm so I think they help for that reason

Been there man. You still don't need BCAAs - you just need to bump up your protein intake in general.

People forget that most of the "hype" over BCAAs came from animal studies & Layne Norton (who stands to profit from them).
People also forget that BCAAs without the other EAAs are completely useless and do nothing.
One of the biggest scam supps around IMO.

I agree but I'm just doing what my physique coach told me to do. honestly this is the first time I've used them in the in 8 years I've been training. I've always though that chicken has a shit ton of bcaas. anyways I notice I don't feel super hungry like I usually do before cardio but that's about it.
Anyways what do u think about glutamine? I've never done any supplements other than the juice and just eating good o and lots of caffeine.

He also has me taking yohimbe and tyrosine

Though I always recommend listening to your coach...if I was in your shoes I'd probably not be rehiring him anytime soon.

Glutamine helps protect your immune system and can alter your gut microbiota for the better:
Oral supplementation with L-glutamine alters gut microbiota of obese and overweight adults: A pilot study. - PubMed - NCBI
I personally never use it since it does nothing exciting for body comp & getting lean has the same benefits on gut microbiota but its super cheap so if others want to give it a try...

Better question: what's his rationale for these recommendations?
That way I can tell immediately whether he's full of shit or not :)

I will ask him and get back to you. hopefully he has some explanation haha.

His response o_O

Bcaa/glutamine or any supplement that you take intra workout is more effective
.. if you think about it realistically. The muscles are engorged they are getting a surplus of blood and nutrients. Why not help shuttle supplements that help grow and repair Into those muscles while they are super absorbing.

Nothing about what they actually do
