BAVD and PED's

So, my older brother has Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease. Basically, he only has two leaflets in his heart rather than 3 (at least that's the way I understand it). He is very healthy otherwise, including typically having low blood pressure (or so he tells me), and he started asking me about getting on some anabolics.

I've told him he should consider the health of his heart, but he seems pretty set on trying a cycle.

Anyone here have experience running gear with BAVD? I'm guessing taking a blood thinner would be beneficial, but I'm hesitant to start suggesting things for him to take as I'm not super knowledgeable about this condition, nor how running gear would impact his health.

To add a little more information, he is an avid runner and has completed multiple ultra-marathons. He started lifting a few years ago, and has become very passionate about his physique as well as his strength. I don't think he plans on competing, but still he seems adamant on taking running test with another compound.

I suggested that he go to an hrt clinic, but he's hesitant on getting on trt yet. He hasn't even gotten his bloodwork done.

I'm worried for him, and would like to help where I can.

What’s up, any updates? Ik this was posted a while ago. I was diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve that is in a very healthy condition. I am on my third cycle. I am continuing to receive echocardiograms yearly and my cardiologist knows I am on PEDs but is still recommending only once yearly due to the good condition of my heart right now. I know Arnold has BAV and did not need surgery until recently.

Well he actually has an appt this week with the cardiologist. He ran test e 300mg/week for about a month earlier this year. He dropped down to 200mg/week for 3 more months after experiencing some undesirable side effects (primarily acne). He seems to be doing well, but we’ll only truly know after he gets checked up by the cardiologist.

Tbh, his primary care seems to be more concerned about all the running he does more than anything. They seem to be under the impression that it places his heart under too much stress.
