More solar storms and flares in route to Earth right now. They are about 3 days avg to get here. Apparently another one today, which was bigger that the ones a month or so ago. I think this was "X-2 Class" so they SAY.. Thats the highest scale ("x" that is) and ranging up to 28 (0-28). I dont know if linear but they did say a 2 is twice as strong as a ONE. But I also seem to recall some kind of exponentiating return as description./? Could be wrong there..
And FYI, they say that if a flare the size of one released in the 1940's or there about were to hit us, that it would DESTROY Electronics and Power Infrastructure for about a year...!
