Do you think that our views of what we consider to be politcally correct and our actual sensitivity for intolerance has been taken too far to the extreme? Shouldn't we be intolerant of some things?
I think that our strides to be ever politically correct has left out much of the aspect of true life. It seems that we are shooting ourselves in the foot time and time again as americans, all just for the sake of comming acrossed as a bigot. When it comes to things such as race and religion, politics and science, it always seems undignified to say what comes to mind because certain people may find what you say offensive. But, in the process, I feel we are loosing out on a lot of potential solutions for real life problems. I'm having trouble trying to appropraitely articulate my thoughts but you may understand what I mean.
Let me at least finish by saying that I am in no way a hate monger. I'm just often times befuddled by the workings of modern society and civilization in the United States.
