Anyone take creatine on a cut?

I also use it every day. No matter on bulk or cut.
Standard creatine monohydrate? Ill be honest I havent used it in many many many years.. back when it was written everywhere to take 29g per day in grape juice for 4-5 days loading then scale back to 5g

I doubt you’ll notice. But if you’re not already taking 5mg a day. Why aren’t you taking 5mg a day? Unless it really doesn’t agree with your GI I can’t think of a good reason not to.

I think there is also a role for creatine supplementation during a caloric deficit to assist with mood; cognition. Let’s all bear in mind that a huge percentage of calories are used by the thing between your ears!

Yea, just monohydrate. You can load if you want to, but general consensus is just 5g a day and you’ll be saturated in a few weeks, then just keep it up. Get flavorless and add it to one of your protein shakes.

A very good tip here. I was one of the people who for many years used creatine in a watery base and endured that final sip of a drink laden with undissolved creatine. Very tough to digest! Love it in the protein smoothie

Only issue is i hate shakes and prefer to get my protein from beef fish chicken turkey and eggs

As everyone else has said, there's no reason to remove creatine from year-round use.

As for a flavorless, easy to dissolve option - I've found Thorne monohydrate to be excellent! I've mixed it in with a variety of drinks or shakes and it's almost always undetectable.

If you have a problem with subcutaneous water it isn't the fault of creatine its your salt timing. You need to be eating a fuck ton of salt a week prior then cut down the salt but not out, just back to normal levels. The high levels of salt in your kidneys from your salt load relative to a light serum salt will dry you out.

Yeah a lot of people are affraid of salt because it bloats them. But what actually bloats you is the 1st deritive of your salt intake. The rate at which its changing. Researching how the kidneys actually work and applyhing that to a water cut is very interesting. Your kidneys are a salt engine that regulate water based on your normal salt intake.
